I'm trying to figure out what overall title I would like to give the trilogy I am working on.  It is about a princess who ends up having to overthrow the queen because of multiple events that send her country and a neighboring enemy country into near chaos.

Right now I have the individual book titles as

Book One: Night of Fate

Book Two: Night of Love

Book Three: Night of Fear

The "Night of..." comes from how the prologue and epilogue from each book consist of a grandfather telling his grandson the story of Rose and everything that happened during her time.

Personally Legend or Legacy sounds best, it gives the feeling of something big and worth reading. Trilogy just seems like... yea, great, 3 books... oh yay... whaddaya mean I'm supposed to read them?

It depends on what you want the name to sound like.  A legend to me seems more in the past while a legacy seems to have recently happened.

Nothing you mentioned shows that "rose" leaves something behind so I picked Legend, another reason i picked Legend is the grandfather telling the grandchild of "the Legend of Rose"

Illiara-That's one of the reason's I'm having the poll...I think both would work personally, but it is is more in the past than recent.

And, Vemynal, very valid point there with what she would be leaving behind.

Thanks!

I know how you feel, Jea.  I voted for Legend.  I hate having to come up with interesting titles...it's so much hard work.

That's why I'm glad I already have the individual book titles!  Of course, those took a bit of time as well, but when I thought of my prologue and epilogue's, I figured the Night of... was perfect!
