More than meets the eye

I heard there was rapping, but I didn't make it that far before turning it off yesterday.

The Constructicons, and, subsequently, Devastator, could work in a live action movie, despite what befalls what is, in name, one of their number in this film, but I can't really find any in-story justification for the Dinobots. With the Ark discarded as a concept, the comic origin goes out the window, and the cartoon origin wouldn't wash in a "serious" movie like this. That is the interview with Tom DeSanto, right?

That page was worth reading for this exchange:

The fact that the words "Transformer" and "Movie" are in the same sentence means the public is about to be assaulted with 90 minutes (give or take) of gayness. What's next? Thunder Cats? Actually that would be sweet if they cast it right. Hugh Jackman (I dug his side burns in X-men and think he could pull off the Liono hair), Russell Crowe (just want to get the guy some work), Sam Jackson (as the black panther, who else could be the bad-ass racist depiction?), Anthony Hopkins as Mumrah, Kate Becksdale as Cheetara (MEOW, you know what I'm talkin about) then toss in the hot child actors to fill out the rest of the crew and you got a straight to DVD.

Well, I'll be a monkey's uncle. I suppose I look like a total a$$ being out of touch. I guess I no longer have my finger of the pulse of Hollywood. I thought origonality was dead. Somebody get a mirror I was wrong.

Don't worrry too much, Jack. Everyone else on that page does too...

So, downloading a crappy song from some random (and quite possibly the most pathetic) blog on the internet is supposed to be credible source?

If this crap song turns out to be the main theme music for the movie (and I can't stress enough how much I seriously doubt that it is), who cares? No one is claiming that this movie is going to be a cinematic masterpiece a'la Casablanca or The Godfather. It's nothing but popcorn munching fun with giant robots battling it out in a city. End of story.

*shrugs*

If that's not your cup of tea, then don't go see it.

I doubt Bay would use cheesy music with his awesome special effects. From what I read, the music went well with the movie.

Dude and other haters: I am glad to hear your opinions... and hope that you may go see the movie to see if your fears hold true. I am very interested in hearing your opinions after you see the movie. You are going in with the right attitude... it is going to suck. Therefore if it is better than you expected you will like the movie. I am going in with the attitude of a little kid that wants to see Santa... so if the movie is not as good as I hope, I am disappointed.
