Some people did learn from time to time.  These... Asha'man, or whatever they called themselves were proof of that.  All the black made them the most likely to escape notice.  The Ninja had been following some new person around for a few hours when he'd arrived here.  No one had seen him.  Good.

The place was larger than he'd have expected, lots of people going in and out.  No doubt that one of them would- the man he'd been following turned around, and their eyes met.  Damn.  There was already a knife out of the Ninja's sleeve and flying through the air before anyone could stop it.  The lad twitched once, then fell.

The Ninja fled.

Basaar had noticed a figure clad in black lurking nearby and stalking him for the last few hours. Eventually tireing of the game, Basaar turned around and met the eyes of his shadow. The man whipped his arm forward and smoething - a knife - streaked towards him. Basaar siezed the Source by the time the kinfe was just leaving the fellows hand, and stopped it with a flow of Wind just before i was to impale him. He twitched and fell, pretending to have been slain, hiding a sly smile

This guy knows nothing of Asha'man if he thinks that a knife could kill me

As the assassin turned to flee, Basaar rushed to his feet, whipping his hands above his head, palms facing upward. He released flows of pure Earth, directing them to the ground at his target's feet. Before the man know what happened, he was encased in a foot of solid granite.

Slowly stolling into the man's field of vision, Basaar curled his lips in a nasty sneer.

"Well, what have we here. It looks as if you were trying to kill me. I would have you know, you aren't nearly as good as you seem to think you are. You have been watched the second you entered the Tower. I was told that i have permission to dicipline you as I see fit if you make any mischief."

The man had remarkable fortitude, Basaar had to give him that. He was alone with a man who could channel, had buried him in stone and more than intimated that he was going to kill him, yet not a word. Yet there were things to losen even the tightest tongue.

Channeling Fire, Basaar started heating the stone. A minute later, Basaar could smell the faint aroma of bacon. The intruder had started breathing heavily, and white were showing all round his eyes. He had started to sweat too.

tying the weave of Fire off, the started one of Wind and once of Spirit. The Wind weave he laind where the man's goin would be. To him it would feel like someone was putting increasing pressure on his family jewels. The Spirit weave made him feel thousands of miniscule needles pressing into his brain. Basaar's captive started to whimper, and his eyes took a pleading look.

"Basaar. Basaar! Where are you man? Light blind you Basaar, where are you."

Basaar sighed. It looked like his afternoon of fun was about to be shortened. Looking around, Basaar saw no place to hide his captive. Making a decision, he wove Fire and Spirit together, and a shield of Wind to block the spray of blood, brain and bone. Earth sank down and enveloped the corpse of the dead man.

"Yes, what do you want Mikal?" Basaar joined the intruder, walking back to the Tower, the dead man already out of his mind.
