It took me 5 months but I finally finished the entire series of books. Wow...It is definately the best series of books I have ever read. HOwever, there were soo many characters and things going on I may have missed a few things.

 

In book one Rand told Moiraine he would do ANYTHING if she would save Tam.  After saving him she seemed to make a note of Rand's promise.  Has she yet asked him to repay the debt?

Wow, five months to finish all of them? You've done some serious reading! I've read all of them several times and I still find things I missed, so don't feel bad! I think that's one of the great things about the Wheel of Time; you can keep reading it over and over and it doesn't get old because there's just so much there.

 

As far as I can remember, Moiraine hasn't directly come out and said "Remember that time I healed your father? Now here's how you can pay me."

 

Rand told her what he did because the stories about Aes Sedai led him to believe that they always ask a price for their services. To what extent that is actually true, I can't say. I think you do end up paying even if it's not outright, because Aes Sedai tend to use anyone they have even a slight connection with. I'd say in that respect, Rand has certainly paid! I don't have the book with me, but I think when he said that, she said something like she'd remember it, or they'd talk of prices later. I wonder if that will somehow come into play later, or not...

I do not recall her cashing in yet.

 

However, congrats on finishing the series.  Since you are the only one that has done so, please answer these questions.  ;)

Anyhow, I don't really see Moiraine as the type to hold favors over people's heads so bluntly. She's much to subtle for that. She'd never even imply such a thing with someone as important as Rand...and if so, for what?

 

I'm not sure there's anything she could force Rand to do or manipulate him to do that wouldn't end badly for everyone involved.

Anyway, to answer the question. There have been at least two instances that I remember that Moiraine could've called upon that favor. The first was when she was trying to teach Rand about the dangers of Balefire. Instead of giving an oath of obedience, she could have just told him that he owed her, and Rand would sit down and listen. The second was when she was trying to get him to go to the docks before chasing after Rahvin. She didn't so... I guess the favor was just forgotten. And if he saves the world, I guess Rand will have done enough to pay it off.

I don’t normally provide spoilers to forums but I suppose this one time might be OK.  Keep in mind I’ve  only read the series once so parts, especially Memory of Light, may be a little confused in my mind.  I will probably get more of the facts straight after reading it again in the next year or so.

There are NO pages.  So many people were complaining about a 2000 word book breaking its binder or being too awkward to read while sitting in the park RJ decided to release the book only in audio format.  The real twist is it is narrated in the old tongue so only the dedicated fans will enjoy it.

        This was a real shocker for me but actually makes sense if you think about it.  The killer was the unknown 5th Cylon who in turn was killed by Balthamel after being given a new body by the Dark One.

Nah....She is a horse of course.  However, Bella committed suicide after learning her mentor, Mr. Ed, was a dark friend faithfully serving as a pack horse for Ordeith.

How does Rand live and die again?

Rand began living after accepting Tam’s heron branded sword and the responsibility that accompanied it.  He died like all other men, on the day he got married.  Even worse, he died three times over marrying three women (what was he thinking?). 

        This came to a head after the last battle(which Rand survives) when Min, using their link, finally understood the meaning of the five dancing naked women floating above Rand’s head.  She discovered Rand was at a strip bar with Matt, Perrin and Thom instead of working.  After the last battle the four of them gave up their lordly ways, returned to their simple lives and earned a living by forming a new wave band called “Flock of Ta’veren”.

Does Nyneave either learn to regrow his hand or cure death?

She accomplished neither task.  Instead Nyneave follows a different path.  After learning about Matt’s plans to rescue Moiraine Nyneave begins to feel guilty about her attitude toward Moiraine.  She realizes that had Moiraine not taken the boys from their homes she never would have become Aes Sedai and never would have met Lan.  She decided to join Mat in his rescue attempt.

 

        During this time Lan successfully raised his army.  However, recognizing his shortcomings as a general he decides not to take charge, but is more than happy to be a battle warrior.  His plans are changed when a messenger brings the ring he gave Nyneave summoning him to her side.  He joins the rescue party and successfully frees Moiraine.  Moiraine offers to pass his warder bond to Nyneave.  However Lan and Nyneave agree to have Moiraine release his bond instead of transferring it so their love for one another could bond them instead of the power.

 

        The teacher becomes pupil when Moiraine returns to the grey tower as Egwene’s keeper.  Siun Sanche marries Gareth Bryne and retires to the Kin.

No she does not.  She instead embraces Perrin’s new career path and becomes a “Flock of Ta’veren” groupie.

Do the tinkers find the frickin song

Yes they did find the song.  The song turned out to be the old Culture Club hit “Miss Me Blind”.  The song allowed them to realize they and the Aiel must reunite.

 

The Tinkers returned to the waste lands and performed a series of tunes for the Aiel and shared their colorful clothing with the near naked Warriors.  These songs and colorful clothing convinced the Tinkers and Aiel the way of life lays somewhere between the way of the leaf and the way of the spear.
