Play and get points.

 

15 points per game won. 5 points per loss, for being a good sport and playing. 20 points for winning the tournament, 15 for coming second, 10 for coming third. The more people that play, the more points that everyone will get.

 

In addition, 10 points for anybody that puts the words "Chess Tournament at Shayol Ghul!" in their siggy, and double that for someone who makes an image with those words for their siggy. (Anybody who makes an image for everyone to use will get an additional 15 points - so, assuming it's in your siggy as well, you'll be getting 35 points for it.)

 

 

 

OK, as to how it will work: everyone will play a game against everyone else, if possible. If not, don't worry. At the end of it all, the person with the most wins is the winner, etc. Ties are broken by games of chess.

 

Play either on yahoo messenger - if you do, post the screenshot showing victory/defeat in the thread, so everyone can see. If you're too modern to use Yahoo, use www.chess.com . Chess.com is good because it can do correspondence chess, which could be useful for playing people in different timezones.

 

If you do use chess.com (I just signed up today), add me as your friend on it so I can keep track of you more easily. I'm cosmicpanda on there. Post screenshots showing victory/defeat on here, as well.

 

Other ways of playing chess with each other are fine, as well - just be sure to show me the screenshot at the end of it.

    I can play chess, I'm not particularly bad at it (wouldn't say I'm good either though), but I hate playing it. But I think this is a good idea, and could be potentially fun. :)
