I am thinking of a infiltration and intelligence class. While I am against the idea of anyone running a class that they know little about I have been researching a bit. The class would start with everyone involved getting an invitation to show up dressed so they can not be recognized and to get there unseen too so those who came from the stealth class would fit in real easy. The instructor would be a mystery(to the class at least) but the class would meet several nights in secret to learn the finer points of body language, pickpocketing, lock picking, concealment (Items on the person not the person itself) and disguise (To vanish in a crowd not a forest), accents from different lands. Every day afterward they would each have "Homework" pick a lock in so and sos office without being seen and bring me whats inside, pick pocket a certain guard of a certain object or plant said object on them, etc.

The eventual goal would be to pass the class to use the skills learned every night to find out who at least one other member of the class is and then to gather as much information on them as possible so as an OOC at the end of the first post we could tell each of our characters tells and habits so a class mate can pick up on those. You can work between the two of you to figure out what dirt your class mate digs up on your character if selected.

All in all I want to give it a secret society/rogues guild sort of feel to it. Or James Bond if you prefer :) I would open this to Tower Guards, Warders (Probably forced into it by their Aes Sedai) trainees if their commander felt they had potential, and even Aes Sedai themselves if I can get permission to include them. Might even be working for the greens on this one.

I will run it by the proper channels if enough people show interest and work out the details with them. Perhaps there is a Green that might want a ring like this. Either way it could be fun and would make the class more useful as warders one day or as Aes Sedai.

Feel free to run ideas through it too. Im not against the idea of creative input :)

There was once a Spy and Manipulation class I taught years and years back, but it was directed more for Aes Sedai. It's a good idea, although there is a fair amount of caution already in the yard's training. Some things, like lock picking, may not work for some paths of study as others. But I think you got something here if you feel the need to work it out a little more. :) We can't all be james bond, and ethics might get in the way of some idea, but then again, the idea of seeing Addi learn to pick pockets could be entertaining.

Might not seem the best path to learn to pick a lock but a chained warder might wish he did learn or I can see a blue putting a warder who knows how to good use. You are correct though that its uses would be very dependent on the character learning the skill. We have a lot of very devoted warders. I dont think there are to many moral compromises they wouldnt make for their Aes Sedai but these skills I dont think would be for everyone. Hence why I am seeking interest first :)

There will be details to work out I am sure... and yes Addison picking a pocket would be funny. She may never get the hang of it but she would have a lot of male suitors.

Well, if you want access to the old class I had, you'll have a few idea's to work off of as well. :)

I think it would be fun, although I don't have a character that would be suitable as a student.

*grins* I'm up for it, I guess. I wonder if I can hide Ed from the teacher?? *laughs* she could wear a dress, I guess. That would be concealment...

I would love to look at the old class actually. As I said I am just tossing the idea around. Aes Sedai are masters if not founders of the Game of Houses. Seems like something they wouldnt mind having a few more resources for.
