Merry and well met!

Hello to the Kin.  I have been reading the threads and have even participated in some.  I really like what I have seen and learned about the Kin so far and would like to join the Kin.

I came here from TV.net (Thoridyss) and some of you may already know me.  I do several crafts-sewing, crochet, embroidery, quilting.  I also write short stories and poems.  I've made baby blankets and layette sets in the past that have been donated to help low-income families who are pregnant or have small babies.  I have three children.  That is pretty much me in a nutshell.  I look forward to meeting and getting to know you all better.  :D

Well, color me happy! I'm the first one to hit your thread! *grins*

That means by the time the others notice, you'll already be sashed! whoo-hoo!

*clears her throat*

Sounds like you'll fit right into our family here..kids, crafty, writer..*grins*  know folks from tarvalen...and you did say you were a nut? I saw it.  THat makes it absolute!!

Now then to observe the amenities......*showers in flowers and starts to Snoopy Dance Mirsh and Lor around in joy*

Welcome, Mashin!  The Kin are a great bunch of nuts, fun to be around and wonderful friends.  The Kin are crafty and creative and generous and silly.

I am a historical costumer and reenactor, myself.

Well glad you found your way here!

Lor, I believe Twinny and a few others here have read Careys books.

I think we have found like minds.

*grins* It's either that or I'm contagious... I like infecting people with good taste in literature. ;)

Jade hasn't read them yet?  hmmm

Actually, Lor has been after me to read them for quite some time!  I finally got around to it, and they are really good!  I totally enjoyed them.  At least the first trilogy.  I have the second one sitting next to me, and have resisted starting to read them, until I get other stuff done.  LOL  Otherwise I will read and do nothing else for the next week!

Myst has read them as well.  So has Manny....*grins*

A friend talked me into joining Terre d'Ange and after I joined another friend sent me a fantastic book review done all in emotes....just couldn't resist reading the books after that. :D  Finished Dart a few weeks ago and I'm going to be starting Chosen right after I finish a few things I've been working on.....namely a shawl for a dear friend.

TdA is a great site.

I am waiting for some extra money for the last book. Its the only one that I have nor read yet. I am dieing to get it.

Oh..is that Naamah's Kiss?  the one they are chatting about at the Farm?

I want to finish the next trilogy so I can read it and understand thier conversation and jump in!  It is only in hardback so far isn't it?

*smiles* Actually, the site has strict "no spoilers" rules, so you could read the first book and understand everything you need to know, Twin. :)

As long as you know the difference between a Jasmine adept and a Valerian one, anyway... *grins* Everything else is more chatting like we do here...with just a hair less restriction on ratings at certain levels. ;)

:lol

I do love the Valerians and the Mandrakes.  The Jasmines are rather fun and Eglantines keep my entertained. :look  I know...I'm such a geek :D

I do agree about the ratings on the chat stuff on TdA.  It is one of the few sites that I belong to that doesn't have a pg-13 restriction on all the threads.  Makes for some very interesting conversations occasionally :look and some highly entertaining games  :o

You realize that now you have to tell me who you are there, right?

*arches her eyebrow* I'm not hiding, so it's pretty obvious. *grins*

*grins* I was just reading posts with your name on them, oddly enough! I'm guesting at Jasmine and Eglantine, though I only just got promoted. *grins* You have no idea how weird it feels to be on the bottom of the totem pole again. LMAO
