Mordeth=mordred?

Ok, everyone knows that RJ based alot of the story on the legends of king arthur.  But to what extent?  In the Arthurian legends, Mordred(arthur's nephew) Kills Arthur in order to ascend to the thrown.  The only name that closely matches Mordred in WOT is Mordeth.  Does this mean Fain will kill Rand?

Or Moridin?

In Fain's eye, Moridin would have the 'favored' place.

He just wants to kill Rand because he blames him for what the DO did to him.

Sorry but Mordred is killed by Arthur, who later is dying of his wounds, and is then taken away by the lady of the Lake.  He tries to kill him to take the the throne.  In some stories, Mordred is also Arthur's son with his Aunt, the mother of Gawyn, Gareth, Argavaine, and one other.  Fain just hates the world.
