Hmmm . . . this makes me glad my oldest decided to sit out this year and not play football on the local midget football league.  He'd never have understood what all the pinches were for.  ;) And I'd like to keep him that innocent for awhile longer, ladies . . . he's only 10!  :D

 

Seriously, though, I'm glad he's not playing this year.  Kids in his age group are BRUTAL.  You want to see dirty football?  Watch midget football.  We lucked out and found the one area that does not tolerate dirty ball but that doesn't help much when you're playing teams known for their dirty tactics.  Our boys had a hard time understanding why the teams that did the cheating were the ones winning the games and not getting nearly as many penalties called against them as they should have.  It is scary stuff.  Holding is one thing; I can deal with that a lot better than punching, spearing, kicking, blocking from behind . . .

 

Yes, adult football is much more fun to watch and much less stressful!
