:'( I signed up for my last game today!

I will still mod  :'( the game that I signed up for :'( and play any that I have  :'( signed up for, but no more! :'(

    Well, the mafia games have been somewhat of a "immerse myself in the game so I don't have to face Real life" plan.  Yesterday, James told me that I was paying more attention to my games then I was to working things out in our relationship. God knows we need the work!

    I must admit I use mafia as an escape from RL too.  I'm very avoidant and it's not working well for me.  If you just avoid all your problems they will end up biting you in the behind :-\

    Maybe it would be better to say that mafia is taking a backseat to RL? Tht way it doesn't sound like you'll never play again ever in your whole life. That just makes me sad.  :'(

    I can so understand Tigs, I hope you manage to work things out with James, and we are always here for you, whether you play or not, but I'm sure, if you ever get the time to play again, we will be more than happy to have you back

    Tigraine, I know that I don't know you very well but I have to say, it is always so nice to see you in any of the games I'm playing! I do understand the need to attend to life though - sometimes it is really hard to get a good balance between life and the interweb! I think Aemon put it well though in his thoughts about maybe one day coming back to the games. In the meanwhile, I'm glad to hear you'll still be around the boards :)

    I understand mafia for escapism.  It's been an awesome filler to keep me from facing a story I haven't wanted to work on.  :P  My husband rolls his eyes when I talk to him about games now.

    Good luck working out your troubles.  Maybe you'll find you have time for a game or two just to keep your fix satisfied and still be able to focus on RL.  I'd certainly understand though if it's a situation where it's better not to play at all because playing a little makes you want to play a lot.  ;)

    Am I the only one who checked the date on this post to make sure it wasn't an April Fools thing?  Mafia without Tigs?  Inconceivable!

    I've had a lot of support dealing with my real life issues from everyone on here because I don't have people around me in real life that I can confide in.  I wouldn't know what to do if he told me I shouldn't get on DM at all.  :-\  I guess I'd have to start reading the series again....for the 8th time  ;)

     

    Nynaeve, I had someone, back when I first started over @ the Wheel of Time Discussion Board, argue me for like 8 pages that there was not a character named Tigraine in the whole series.  I couldn't believe it.  A lot of people don't pick straight up on the reference but, lol, I've never had anyone think I'm a dude  :D

     

    I get mixed up all the time though and call people her or he when they are the opposite and they set me straight  :P

    We, James and I have decided that DM is too much of a distraction from my real life.  After I have finished the games that I am signed up in and the game that I plan on modding, *takes a deep breath* then I won't be coming back to DM.  :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

    Thanks guys!  I don't really understand the need for me to quit DM, I think he thinks I'm talking about hooking up with someone on here  ::)

     

    Maybe after things get better then I will be allowed to come back :D

     

    No really, I shouldn't be gone more than a month  ;)
