Boo on Linkin Park

I am greatly disappointed in Linkin Park's new album "A Thousand Suns" I am VERY glad I listened to it before I went and bought it. Out of a 16 song album I found 2 songs that I like (with maybe 1 or 2 more that might bare better after 2nd or 3rd listening). Like 3 of the songs are not even them singing its their "instrumental" songs. I found 3 song I liked on Minutes to Midnight and I like almost all of the songs on Meteora and Hybrid Theory. *sigh* It seems that their new "change" has disappointed me...again. *continues to rant about music not being what it used to be with one of his old favorite bands*

I have lol. But I was still hoping for something good from an old favorite.

Still got another month or so (I think I heard a month) for my new favorite band (Disturbed) to put out their next album :P

I never liked Linkin' Park. What sort of bands do you like, Master Dude ? Ones like Disturbed ?

I'm mostly a hard rock/metal person. The bands I find the best are those that are on border between metal/rock and screamo. I like the screamo tempos but I want to understand the lyrics without having to think haha.

Current favorite bands:

Disturbed, Five Finger Death Punch, Skillet, Avenged Sevenfold, Three Days Grace, Korn, Slipknot, Static-X, Escape the Fate, Rob Zombie, etc.

Lol, you just named all the ones I might have suggested for you, except maybe In Flames. They are kind of hard to understand, though, because they really are screaming like anything.

I really like Linkin Park, I however have not heard there new album. And seeing these reviews on it I just might not.

If you like Mike, (Fan of Meteora/Hybrid Theory) you will like about 2 songs on the new album. Catalyst, and Blackout. The rest is pretty much Chester's album and instrumental songs...

Chester is ok, He is not really the reason I like Linkin Park. He has some impressive vocals yes, but I just don’t really care for those songs with JUST him or the instrumentals.

Agreed. He is a pretty cool guy, and has good vocals but I don't like the songs with just him and instrumentals in them.

So yea you will probably like Blackout and Catalyst. That's pretty much it.

I agree that it is a bit of a shocking change for them, and I can't get entirely behind it.

That being said, I think it's brave as hell for them to go forward and make the album THEY wanted to further themselves as musicians as they see it, not just cookie cutter another album.

I myself really like Three days grace a lot, "Animal I have become" is a song I find easy to relate to.

Do you like Blink 182?

alrighty, I like Blink 182 myself.

Man, i stopped listening to Linkin Park after Meteora...they kinda got suckish after that :/

I was gutted when minutes to midnight came out, i was waiting for something amazing! can't find any faults with Hybrid theory or Meteora, the stuff done with Jay-z was awefull also

Yep pretty much. Meteora was the best album and Hybrid Theory wasn't half bad. Everything else has pretty much had me lost faith with them.
