Jack Ryan reboot

Scribe Anthony Peckham ("Invictus," ""Sherlock Holmes") has been picked to pen the script for the next entry in the Jack Ryan franchise at Paramount Pictures reports Heat Vision.

 

Chris Pine remains attached to star as Ryan, the intelligence officer-turned-action hero of Tom Clancy’s novels and four previous films. This film serves as a prequel/reboot and tells of a young Ryan's early career working in Russia.

 

Filming hopes to kick off later this year or early next year. Adam Cozad previously worked on the script, and at last report Jack Bender (“Lost”) was attached to direct. Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Mace Neufeld are producing.
