And Finally...Zombies!

I suppose it was inevitable. I can only hope that a troupe of sexy, twenty-something vampires aren't in my WoT future but did the entire sequence from TGS in Hinderstap feel like a level in Left4Dead or perhaps a zombie shooter level from Call of Duty? I found myself reading, thinking, zombies, seriously? And what good do flesh eating (well, I don't know that they're exactly flesh eating, but one can certainly surmise) zombies mild mannered daylight alter egos have with gold? It's not like they could spend or enjoy it since they all seemed forever trapped in their little village of the damned.

What other pop culture kitsch do you have for us Brandon Sanderson...a school for wizard children, a Glee-esque song and dance routine, the inclusion of an openly gay character?

Nothing beats RJ's reference to Ghostbusters in Shadar Logoth. Or his reference to Karate Kid all through TGH.

Sealed to the flame chapter from The Gathering Storm: ... anybody else got the feeling it was a very disturbing version of Ajah's got Talent?

I almost thought you meant when they were first in Shadar logoth on their way out of the Two Rivers. I was trying to remember if Mat/Perrin/Rand said "I ain't afraid of no ghost."
