IT IS A CELEBRATION!!! You are invited to celebrate our new Mistress of Novices, Aes Sedai Lor! The novices and algai are hosting a roast in her honor. The festivities will take place at the Warder's Guild in the Something Special thread.You are requested to share any stories or memories you may have, or simply wish her good luck. We will also be honoring Aes Sedai Taya Gilly for her outstanding work as the former Mistress of Novices. The party begins on Wednesday, March 29th. Formal dress is requested.

The he thing that made me really enjoy Peter Jackson’s LOTR was that despite the departures from the books the story was told in the same tone as the novels and so it still felt like LOTR Same went for Game of Thrones, the books had a darker tone and thus so did the show so it felt like the same world and the same story. WOT by contrast just does not have the same tone as the books. It feels like they are trying to tell the story of WOT in the tone of GOT and it just feels off
