I recently started reading WoT from a friends recommendation and now I cant stop. Im on Fires of Heaven and Im hoping to get caught up before the final book is released.

Don't rush too fast! I'm half way through ToM and not looking forward to having to wait for the next book.

Well you should find out if he does!!!

Well, a little tour of dragonmount: there are the discussion boards, where you can talk about theories, how much you love or hate a character, and just other book discussion stuff

Then there are the social groups, where we are a community and have fun!

Then there are the rp boards, where you create one or more characters and send them off to have adventures in Randland. See Nyneave for more details.

A reread isn't a bad thing. In fact, I feel like it helps immensely with having a grasp on all that's going on in this detailed and complex series.

So which parts and characters are your favorite thus far?

And WELCOME TO DM!!!!

I have to say that Perrin is my favorite of the three Ta'veren. Lord Goldeneyes for the win!

One of my favorite parts so far has been the battle of Falme, every part of it was so immense and well written that I actually felt my blood pumping as heroes of the horn rode in to battle.

It's certainly epic. It comes up many times when discussing favorites parts of WoT. :)

I'm afraid I'm more inclined to Nynaeve parts, myself. But I can't deny that the battle of Falme was quite exciting. You just wait, though. There are a lot more exciting scenes to come!!

Well I usually cant steamroll through a book like some people I know, I tend to read a few chapters then stop and reflect on it. I can usually get through a book in about a week and a half maybe a little more if I focus on it.

That's still pretty quick. Usually takes me three weeks if I don't have more than 10 minutes here and there :P

I read the last three HP books each within 36 hours though :P I did basically nothing else though

Scrambles, I like to read like that too. It's difficult not to rush through the WoT books, so I've worked out a system for myself - do the laundry, then I'm allowed to read 3 chapters. Do the dishes, treat myself to another 3 chapters ... etc .... lol
