Well... except I've always thought that the pronunciation guides in the back of the books are kinda vague.

 

For example, Myrddraal is pronounced MUHRD-draal.

Do both a's get pronounced?

 

what about saidar and saidin?

 

they are sah-ih-DAHR and sah-ih-DEEN.

I don't see three syllables in the spellings, yet they are there.

sa - i - dar.

 

sa - i - din.

I see sai-dar and sai-din.

but that might just be me.

Ive not looked it up but Ive always assumed that I was correct on it being Nina Eve in one word.

 

Say dar and say din is how I say em. I can understand Taim being Ta-eem but Im not going out of my way to pronounce every single i as its own syllable.

If you have trouble saying 'Nyn', you could just call her your 'Naughty Bunny' - a bit longer to remember, but so full of possibilities.

but i got olga nachimovsky's name right first time out, so i think we were all on the same page.
