I'd never heard of this movie before. Then I saw the advert on TV, and thought I wanna go see that. Literally 2 seconds later I scrolled down on DM and saw it on the recent posts. I was rather weirded out :D

 

But yeah. It looks awesome. I shall have to plan an expedition to the cinema

The cast looks solid, and as long as the swordfighting is as good as it looks, then I'll be completely happy.

Will probably be seeing this. Or maybe Johnny English...

I really loved the first Johnny English. I can't wait for the second one.

What I want to know is why it took so long, but anyway that's off topic.

 

Is anyone else a bit surprised that Orlando Bloom's not one of the Musketeers?

I thought he was one of them the first few times I watched the trailer, because one of the guys looks just like him.

 

I'm guessing they didn't want anyone to compare him as a musketeer to him as Will Turner in PotC.

Has it been 7 years already? They remake this movie or have them in a movie every few years. I have seen the trailers and just can not get excited about another musketeers movie.

I rather enjoyed the Disney version with Keifer Southerland, Oliver Platt, and Charlie Sheen.

Just by warching the trailer, I can with 100% certainity say that I prefer the version from -73.

I don't know if Feral was referring to the fact that Orlando Bloom isn't playing a musketeer, but he IS in the movie Krak, so you probably did see him, he's playing the Duke of Buckingham iirc...

I'm not going to see it. Is it too much to ask for at least a mini-series that at least TRIES to somewhat follow the book by Alexander Dumas? Every time they make a film of this they completely butcher the book's depth of plot, or make it a spectacle with lots of crazy stunts and unnecessary, strung out fights.

 

Looks like the latter to me. It might be an exciting movie, but it doesn't look like something I'd want to watch.

 

At least Count of Monte Cristo SORT OF follows the book plot (at least at first I think) and is ALSO a good movie!

 

Sry for the rant, lol.

Was supposed to be seeing this today, but my partner was too ill. Probably won't get to go see it now. Not a happy bunny :(
