Thank Heaven someone asked already! I've been waiting for that question for you don't know how long!

It's The Hallucinogenic Toreador, my favorite Salvador Dali painting

OMG! I love Salvador Dali! I couldn't make it out though it was so small. That was my first thought but I figured I better ask instead of being wrong! LOL

I figured since I love the painting anyways, and it kinda looks like it has a face in it, it would be a good avatar. I was thinking of making a game where you change your avatar to a favorite painting, and someone has to guess it. Might run it by Talniko if I get support for it

Picasso, Escher, Gaudi's buildings in Barcelona are beautiful, ancient Egyptian/Greek/Roman art.

Good to see someone else is an Escher fan. I made a submission in Maw's siggy contest

That could be a very long list for me...

I'll try to keep it short.

Botticelli/daVinci/Michelangelo

Bernini/Rembrandt

deGoya/Degas/Monet/Cezanne/Renoir

Picasso/Seurat/vanGogh

Dali of course. I also love Andy Warhol.

Ancient Egyptian art just about brings me to tears. In fact I did tear up when I went to see the King Tut exhibit this summer. I was in awe.

I remember seeing the Tut exhibit when it first came to USA way back when. It was jaw dropping, even for a kid. I went with my school. It was awesome. I probly got my love of Egyptian art from that trip.

There's been so much incredible art created in the world... I'm actually also a big sculpture fan. Michaelangelo and Boticelli are probably my faves in that department. I'm also a big impressionist fan

I made the cutest little turtle sculpture during college, I don't know what my mother did with it though. :(

Ooooh you know who was an amazing artist, and multitalented?

William Blake. Powerful images AND words.

I have The Complete Poetry & Prose of William Blake on my coffee table Des. Right next to The Complete Works of William Shakespeare. (now that is a THICK book)
