As for saying nothing of value - when I joined the game it was still night. So, your vote on me consists of me having suspicions about Locke, pointing out your error in thinking Vizzini was still alive and that he could be part of the Mafia team, and basically making one(ish) daytime post.

 

My casting suspicion on Locke seems to have rattled you somewhat. I think I like that. You move up my list, although you were already quite high.

 

Also - the 'helpful help from Locke' points to 'we are definitely not talking on a QT honest guvnor'.

AS for the Gambit...it was the first time on DM that two mafia went for each other on Day one, one was lynched and found mafia, which set the other up for the rest of the game! I think the only reason it worked so well, because it hadn't been used before in Mafia here on DM, Mafia didn't vote for Mafia, until they really had no other choice and very rarely. now things have developed and changed.

 

 

I know what a gambit is. I'm asking Smiley what gambit he was referring to in regards to why Wombat would claim roleless, when Solimind asked "doesn't every scum claim town near lynch".

 

Unless you are responding to someone else, I have no idea what relevancy this input has relative to Smiley suggesting a gambit from Wombat's roleless reveal.

We get one additional viewing out of the Cop tonight, assuming she's protected by the Doc. You shoot the Doc, we get no more viewings. You are essentially trying to force Ithi to view either myself, or you. I'm town. Your probably a Godfather like I stated in my earlier post. Then based on the numbers it might be only 3 scum left with you, Sakea and Smiley.

 

In a character reveal game its pretty commonplace for there to be a safe claim, and it makes far more sense that you as scum would spit the safe claim out as soon as you got pressure, and get someone to vouch for you early and coast until endgame - even if you've been pushing on all the scummiest points made in this game.

 

I go back to when you revealed... and note the way you specifically made your safe claim, it was like you were looking for other townies to vouch for you. You knew you had a safe claim, and went fishing for someone to temporarily vet you.

I was willing to throw myself under the wagon so to speak for the town, in fact it was you (Nyn) that refused to vote for me, if you had we could have got a lynch day one. So to say you refuse you would not vote for someone you 'knew' to be innocent, now seems quite off. now you could be town, which means there are two god father roles (and I doubt that, )

 

As for only getting one viewing out the cop tonight, we don't know that for sure. it's quite easy for the Doc to get it right and the mafia to wrong guess him, it's happened a few times before in other games, so why not this one!

 

Ithi doesn't have too many choices left, and i wasn't directing her but putting thoughts down, which I said in my list. What is the point of her looking at Sak or Smiley, the only other choices are those she has done before. And you think I'm forcing ithi to view us, I'm doing nothing of the sort. I revealed Ithi...when we were looking for a lynch and was just a townie, so said to go for me, people had already voted for me, so I thought it was a good bet to get a lynch that day. I said I was townie. And people started voting, I was asked my role and gave it, then Nyn came in to back up my claim which actually stopped the lynch! I was happy with just saying town, until I was asked!

I´m not a GF. Just townsfolk of Florin. Someone (Ithi?) said above that I previously said that GF shows up mafia. If I said that I did a mistake because I meant to write not mafia. That is the whole point with GF, isn´t it? I don´t have the time to look up what I said right now but I think it was when I tried to tell Smiley that GF means godfather and not grandfather.

 

If there is a godfather in this game it could be me, CTM, Talya, Smiley, Sakaea, John or Turin. (Not counting masons, doc or cop.) We don´t know if Leelou has given out fake claims or not. If she has then Turin could be one too.(If so it would have been smart to come up with the pr.) I think it´s less likely that Turin is GF or scum but we did have another vanilla with a pr. I have trusted Talya most of the game but as someone pointed out, she has tried to direct the cop to check me ones more. Even if I was the GF that would only show town again and it would be a waste. I have never heard of a GF that only shows town on the first view. There might have been in some game before I started playing but I have never seen it. I have also been thinking that John might be cop (obviously not right) or mafia but I need to go back and check his posts again. I don´t believe Sakaea at all.

1. You seem to forget it was Nyn playing this role around your reveal. I was focused on Rhea and Song at that time. If you revealed without pressure, and to the tune of fishing for someone to vouch for the "townsfolk of Florin" wording, then I'd say you are definitely scum that couldn't wait to throw that safe-claim out there so that you'd catch a free ride to end-game. In the event that scum has a safe fake-claim, its always more advantageous for them to reveal first, not second, not third, etc.

 

2. We should play as though we are getting one more viewing from the Cop. Anything we get beyond that, will be gravy... I'm just being realistic, which doesn't make me scummy. You're blowing smoke.

 

3. You were directing. You flat out said, "view me or John, and the one you don't view will be scum" and something like "I know John is scum" and such. You told Ithi straight up who to view. I have only ever given the Godfather role with the first time showing as town....it's how I have always played it here on DM...things might be different on other boards and lately here (then I haven't been playing as much). By me understanding of a Godfather role is that they show innocent when viewed the first time. Sorry that I haven't played such as advanced mafia as the rest of you. But that is what I have known...hence the reason I suggested to view you again. And I like the way both you and John are accusing me of directing the cop, when I specifically said in the post, that I wasn't doing that, but putting out suggestions.

Here we have a lot of games that are themed and tend to use characters and their traits, and plenty allow reveals of roles and characters, I have done it and sometimes I don't when modding, but yes it can be that obvious. What's it got to do with role fishing...I was saying from his point of view, he can try and claim a role, if he is mafia, and either gets lynched anyway (which he is on his way to) or he may get a day because of it. so it would not harm him by doing a fake reveal...even if in this case it is a character!
