Have we ever seen anyone who was actually bitten and then imediately (within days) turned into a zombie? Seems to me, most people taht were bitten.. were ben ravaged by zombies.

(Should note however, that the human bite.. is one of the worst in the animal kingdom. (not THE WORST but its pretty damned bad) And its entirely possible, given the world state that you would get an infection, and die from it, and thusly turn into a walker.

That said, I coudl eaislly see this infection being supernatural even with the semi-science stuff going on. (To me, the scientist from the first season.. seemed clueless about its origin, and even about its existance. like he really couldn't explain it at all.)

When I used to read the comics, Andrea was one of my favorite characters. But so far in the tv series she just doesn't seem that smart to me. She just gravitates to bad boys in power. (Shane, Governor) Where in the comics she was a bad ass who had great leadership qualities and was awesome with a sniper rifle.

Can we please put anything from the comics in spoiler tags, and label it, please? Or take it to another thread. I haven't read the comics, and don't wanna know.

Anyway, last night's episode was awesome, the Governor is creeptastic, and Merle just needs to die.

Ain't got nothing on the Komodo Dragon

Sin Andrea's sister and Jim(Tim?) in season one were both bitten, but not devoured, and turned. We saw Andrea's sister turn. And the show heavily alluded to the fact that Jim turned.

Which is why I said its not the worst, but its up there.

was I the only one left wondering "whats in the tea?"

it is specially remarked upon in a 1 on 1 between Governor and henchman #1

Andrea seems to become friendlier to the governor once she drinks it

Michone seems to be the only one who hasn't had any and she is raging.

do you think its the tea then? i figured it was just people foudn a sembalance of order and a safe place where they could return to a way of living before the outbreak (atleast in apperances) and were happy with that and willing to be ignorant of the fact that their security is an illusion and that this jerk Governor is a dictator that should have his face ripped off and be slowly consumed by a group of walkers.

and yes, i hope he dies a very painful death, especially for what he did to that convoy of troops. it is nice to know that the Military is starting to play a bigger role in this series though and that the military is making rounds and stuff. i had wondered about that tbh

Andrea is stupid for not listening to Rambo chick.

yes I think there is something with the tea

the quote from the governor goes something like "I need you for the tea" so I think it has a kind of drug in it that makes peoples wills weaker so he has no opposition. I don't think neither the governor or the henchman drank any of the tea during the breakfast scene either, I could easily be wrong though

saw a lot of specculation on this on reddit

there's basically three possibilities that seem plausible to me

1. On I believe The Talking Dead or some other such thing someone involved with the show said it was just a nod to a writer who drinks a lot of tea

2. The above is a red herring and the tea is actually a means by which The Gov makes the town more....peaceful or something so he can control them easier

3. 1 is still a red herring but The Gov actuallty has creepyweird good intentions and the tea is made from zombie juice ala heads in jars which The Gov hopes will lead to people slowly becoming immune to the zombies

My dad thinks there's opium in the tea, something addictive that'll make people not want to leave.

At first I thought there was something up with the tea as well, otherwise why bring it up. But I'd rather have the people of Woodberry stay because they think the Governor is truly the best thing for them and their future. I think adding a reason that they are being drugged with the tea takes away from the realism they are trying to achieve with the show.

Bravo T-Dog, bravo. Lorie is finally gone, I think her death was a little to sympathetic though. I think she deserved T-Dogs death without the heroics.

Andrea is now becoming my most hated character.

Curious to see had bad Rick snaps.

Never saw the kid shoot Loren, doesn'tmean she's dead, or at least, not that she's a walker now..

Andrea has always been my favorite female character, sad to see she's so gullible as to think the Governor is ok. And Merle, ick.

RIP T-Dog. He went out like a hero, saving Carol. But I guess we won't see til next week where she ran off too, cus I guess she just went deeper into the prison.

So Lori is gone; that was pretty heavy, having Carl take her out like that. Be interesting to see if Rick and Carl's relationship deteriorates becuase of it. I think Maggie will have some severe issues now, tho.

I thought Ricks final scene in episode 3 was on par with Brad Pits final scene in Seven. One of my favorite acting moments.

How is Andrea to know that the governor is insane? She will figure it out soon enough I am sure. She has been with Michonne for 7 months and assumes she is just being overly cautious.

I personally think Merle will turn out to be a "good guy." If not, he will find Daryl and then all hell will break lose.

T-Dog was a shock because he was an integral part of the team.

That was an awesome 40 minutes of television.

i didn't cry for Loris death, but Rick's reaction and the effect i know it has to have on Carl did get me to cry. i did hold my breath in hopes the baby was alive though, i was literally chanting "let it be alive, let it be alive" while crossing my fingers. i dont see though, how the infant will survive. its chances are already slim in that enviroment, without "mothers milk" and the anti-bodys and immunities that milk provides ... very very slim chance of survival.

i cried to T-Dog though, i hate that he dies. and i noticed this time around, the Governor again didn't drink the brandy even though he offered up the toast. i think you guys are onto something with that drinks. what ever it is though, its very subtle. i still hope he dies a very painful long lasting death.

Yeah, Rick was exceptional in that scene. Another thing that is amazing is he is an English actor and does a passable southern accent. Pretty impressive.

I don't know if you have watched this week's episode but it will clear up some of the feeding issues for the baby. You will get to see another side of Daryl. I think He is my favorite character.

Poor T-Dog's death was horrible. I am just curious as to the motivation of the writers to do so. Lori was the most hated character in the show and because of that one death, ratings should have been sky high.
