I have yet to find a picture of a llama wearing a sombrero in a pumpkin carving, but I think that's the only one that would beat Jack Skelington here.

the pumpkins are growing like its day of the triffids this year.

 

there's one up to thirty lbs today, putting on ten every week, and five more just behind it. and a few dozen more growing. the vines are growing two feet a day and will soon reach the steps to my house... I am afraid... very afraid.

 

but also delighted. I love pumpkins and this is the best pumpkin season ever,

 

funny thing is, they're all planted in a barely two foot wide, maybe twelve foot long, strip of dirt... I think it was the combination of the oddly contaminated and possibly radioactive manure and the plant- friendly/human-hostile weather.

 

whatever, we be having' a spooky Halloween this year.

 

I'm thinking some kind of Calvin and Hobbes pumpkin snowmanesque display across the front lawn...
