The Curiousity Has Landed on Mars

Conspiracy theorists disagree. It's all smoke and mirrors!

JK, that's really neat. $2.5 B to get that to work. I'm glad it didn't burn up on descent!

So apparently there was a conversation on Tumblr in which someone (non-American) asked if all Americans really owned bald eagles.

Answers were along the lines of

"Our eagles are our partners for life"

"Ah, I remember my first Eagle Ceremony...."

etc

Idk why but I felt like sharing :P

Of course the eagle is serious!!! America was outdone!!! (Because of course that is SOOO hard to do :P )

So far it was doing an internal systems check just to make sure there wasn't any damage during the flight, and then it took some pictures. It's going to start running some tests on the soil, air, and such soon.

I do hope Curiousity didn't kill the cat :/

BAHAHA at the pic Raena

Although I thought this was the firstest pic that got sent back...

I can't find this one in the Curiosity's files (though it's very possible I'm not searching the right ones) but there are 5-6 other rovers on Mars right now if memory serves so it's very possible that one of them took this picture.
