Question about Mistborn series

Hey, I am only partway through the second book, so no spoilers please, but Allrianne just showed up to be with "Breezy."

I seriously thought Breeze was gay. I definitely pictured him like Nathan Lane.

What's up with that?

I always thought of him as the hetersexual uncle who just knows how to decorate a lounge and make a fluffy souffle. :)

I am still on the first book. Maybe it is because I listen to them on audio book (I drive a lot and audiobooks help keep my sanity in check) but he reminds me a lot of Talmanes. Both series are read by Michael Kramer and he does both characters very similarly.

Breeze is foppish, not prissy. There's a difference. I can see how you'd make the mistake though. I LOL'd.

What makes this even funnier is that Sanderson has said (to abbreviate a rather long essay) that while he doesn't support homosexuality (Mormon and all that), he fully intends to include a homosexual character in one of his books in the future. I think it would amuse him to know he nearly included one accidentally. =D

I always seem to picture Ham and Perrin almost identically for the same reason.....Michael Kramer uses the same tone and voice for them both. Not that I'm knocking him, mind. IMO, he is hands down the best male narrator I have ever heard.

The audiobooks help me stay sane in my commute as well. Not to mention the fact that as a single father, I could never make time for pleasure reading.

I have not used audio books before although I have been thinking about using some. Would you recommend them? How much do they cost?
