Today's Happy Place. Where is yours?

Featured Replies

I have a few happy places. This is one of them. It's a lake in north-central Pennsylvania, where I spent many summers as a camper. This is one view from the dining hall down towards the actual lakefront. Those mountains always make me feel very much at home. They're beautiful old souls. (Yes, this is on top of a mountain, hence the lack of vista in the distance. )

Gulf Wars XXII, where my warder is off having a grand time and earning me some fresh bruises I can't explain. LOL

Yes, Gulf would be my happy place if I didn't have to work this week! I can't wait until the Spring Break schedule out here shifts again and it falls over the war again. It does this every about three years, where it cycles on for three, then off.

Happy Place: Anywhere with my SCA group, but here is our Liondragon Guard. They're rather hard to miss on the battlefield!

Not sure why it won't let me just put the photo in here, so I've attached it.

Another happy place: Aerial view of my High School in Virginia. Graduated longer ago than I really care to recount, but I still miss it! And still visit when I can.

That's gorgeous!

Today's happy place: My house! (No photo. *chuckles*) It's SPRING BREAK here! Schools are out. I don't have to work and my son doesn't have school for ten whole days!

Happy place: downtown Savannah, where the 189th St. Patrick's Day parade is stepping of RIGHT NOW!

Today's happy place is my couch, where Tadpole it's sleeping in my husband's lap (who is also asleep). They both look so sweet!

Today's happy place: My front porch, where I've potted all of the plants I bought Friday night and they're all snuggled in their new beds of fresh soil! My front porch smells like basil and rosemary... *sighs* I love that smell...
