Anyone else watch AHS last season? I quite enjoyed it, am looking forward to the season premiere tonight on FX. Anyone else gonna be watching?

It's really really good. If you don't like horror movies you wouldn't like it tho.

I don't like horror movies generally

But that's because they aren't scary

Most horror movies go for cheap jumps by ramping up music and such

Some people like that I guess but if I'm watching a "scary" movie I want to be scared after it's over too you know?

This isn't like torture porn "Saw" style. Or at least it wasn't the first season. It's more psychological horror, then just gratuitous violence. I thought the first season was awesome. I don't know if they can recapture it in this second season though. I know at least a handful of the cast from the first season are playing parts in this new one. I haven't really looked up who, or who their playing. I don't really know anything more than that it takes place in an asylum and they probably do effed up things to people.

There's a sadistic nun involved, I've heard.

What is it even about? Is there a story?

It changes season to season. The first season, a family with a bunch of problems moves into a house where, anyone killed and their body left in the house, is forever tied there unless you can find their body and burn their bones. There are other supernatural elements going on at the same time. It's actually not a lot like anything I've seen before. You should just watch like the first 20 minutes of the first episode. It even has it's fair share of humor. But it is definitely creepy and weird at times. But I prefer that over "Most fucked up way possible I can think to kill someone with the board game Mouse Trap".

Yeah, not sure what this season is about yet. Will let you know tho, am about to start watching it^_^

Ok, so there's a lesbian couple involved, a sadistic nun with sexual repression, a serial killer named Bloody Face, a scientist doing weird experiments, and aliens may be involved somehow.

 

The show sucked me right in, will definitely be watching the rest of the season^_^

I haven't watched the first season yet but I did catch last night's season two premier and I enjoyed it. Lots of crazy stuff happening.

The exorcism bit was very well done; the revelation about the sadistic nun's past was great. Totally sucked in to this show^_^
