I need a new series to read

Featured Replies

I agree, that was the best of the three - Amber Spyglass was ok, but I dislike the ending....

Moar suggestion: Sword of Truth? Many readers here will smite you for admitting, but I think they're a good read. xP Mostly. Some of them. Can't keep up with WoT or others, but eh

AAAMMLL!!!! The Bartimaeus Trilogy! *grabs by lapels and shakes, screaming* REEEEAAD *remembers self* Ahem, sorry. ;P They're a great series for all ages...

I have not read His Dark Materials, but I've seen the movie of The Golden Compass. (I don't know how true to the book the movie is.)

The book is always better than the movie, just as a general rule. I haven't seen the movie, but i have not heard positive things about it.

he's read it... and in order, unlike me

You didn´t read them in order? What book did you start with?

I think I read 1, then 5, then 4, then 6, then 3. Never read the last or second.

The next series I will be reading will be the Malazan series. It's been very highly recommended to me

Definitely yes! Seriously one of the best series I have ever read, and I'm only on the fourth book.

I actually really enjoyed those books, despite the fact that they were a bit more geared towards younger readers.
