So this is another Netflix original series.  I watched about half the first episode and was bored out of my mind.  I really liked House of cards which is why I gave this one a shot.

So three questions:

Has anyone else watched this show?

Is the first episode just really dumb and then it starts to pick up?

What the heck is the show even supposed to be about?

I just got through watching the first season of this show. I missed the first couple of episodes so I missed the first boring one. LOL But I found the show strange and weird. Sometimes it seemed like the show wasn't going anywhere but the strangeness kept me watching. I found myself actually starting to enjoy the show. The show is about a small town whose teenage girls start getting murdered by what they think is an animal. The son of the rich family and a son of a Gypsy start doing their own investigation. I don't want to give anything away so I won't tell you anymore. But if your a fan of strange and weird you will like it. It is definitely different. One thing about the first season is there isn't any cliff hanger at the end. Of course there are still some questions. Have to make way for the second season. :) I'm not that great at explaining things but I hope this helps.

This.

I couldn't finish it.

Also, I'm not sure how 'original' House of Cards is, as there is a BBC show titled thusly with pretty much exactly the same plot.  The title character is even named Francis.

House of cards on netflix is an American remake of that show.

I just meant that they're calling it a Netflix "Original Series."

yeah..they meant it had not been broadcast anywhere else...this version at least.
