I agree ASG, it seems to me that an affair shouldn't be romanticized in the first place...  

I agree, I have always wondered how she could have such a good man as Arthur, and even look at another, more less have an affair!!

Honestly I think Gawain never gets his due to the popularity of the whole Lancelot/Guinevere storyarch.  Frankly I think he probably was the best Knight of them all and certainally the most dedicated to Arthur.

Gawain is always portrayed as the perfect example of the knight. I agree, he does get overshadowed by the affair.
