H'okay, I posted my introductory thread on the RP board. I hope it wasn't too long-winded

Would anyone be interested in grabbing up this newbie and escorting him to the Barracks? And then perhaps working on training him?

Also, I was curious as to how WS was assigned to new characters. Do we all start with the base of 1 or...?

Usually with a new character, you meet a master at arms, who will take you in, show you around, and then give you an initial spar to determine your WS.  Having wielded a sword before, you would likely start out a 2-3 (*I am guessing, I am NOT allowed to make these kinds of decisions, but your guy had a rudimentary grasp of how to fling the sword without killing himself, otherwise he would not have been a guard for a merchant train, he might even have fought of bandits...) its something you need to work out with the Master-At-Arms.  As such, i will let them direct you further, as they usually like to do the initial RP.  Am I right in guessing your Characters nationality is Arafaelin? If so, Reki is too... from Shol Arbela... if the MAA is ok, i could have Reki collect you and deliver you to them.... giving you a soft word of encouragement before the MAA can attempt to beat you into submission.... lol!

I await more info from the MAA, or higher authority than mine... (which is little or nothing, lol)

Edit: I liked the post, lol! just sayin...

Reki - go ahead and jump in, bring him to Kilrin, the Master at Arms - if you're interested, stick around and once Kilrin is done, you can show Lewin around and if you need WS, get started on his training?

Andrej - I realized I never did tell you what your starting WS is. It'll be WS 2

That sounds like a good idea Reki! Meeting a fellow Arafaelin on Lewin's arrival would certainly put him at ease.

Thanks for clarifying Seia. I look forward to RP with you guys

Whatever works for me, I doubt all my posts will be as long as that one. I just wanted to give a little back story to his arrival. Anything to help progress I'm good with

a little post up, figured we could chat a moment about arafel, you can have Rekinu say something about him not having been to Shol Arbela in a long time, but that they could talk about it later... if your person has a question, if not, they would go stable your horse, and then I will have Rekinu show you to the MAA.... she is a tough girl, dont let your guard down!  lol!

Ok, do whatever you like as he takes in the training field, perhaps he can see people practicing whatever his focus is going to be?  Take it where you want to.  Once they enter the building, they will go directly to the office of the MAA.... you can RP Rekinu looking at you and questioning if you are ready, before knocking firmly... then you and the MAA can take it from there?  What do you think?

That works for me. I'll start working on my post now while we walk through the training yards and then with going to the MAA office.
