Trollocs roasting on an open fire....

 

 

Task: Write a Christmas inspired limerick. You must include the words "trolloc", "angreal"

and "M´Hael".

    A young Soldier conceived

    The idea of making a gift

    So M'hael could give her some points

    A fluffy trolloc with movable joints

    And angreal was all she achieved

    On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave me an Asha´man in a pear tree…

     

     

     

    Task: Post your favourite Christmas candy recipe. (If you want to, you can post more than one.)

    This year I will again be making Honeycomb aka Cinder Toffee

     

    Put 100g caster sugar and 4 tablespoons golden syrup in a pan, and mix together.

    Put the pan on the heat untill it turns into a bubbling mass and simmer for 3-5 minutes.

    The next step has to be done at just the right time so the honeycomb turns out crunchy. If you have a sugar thermometer it is at 160C. If not put the end of a fork or somethingin the pan so it just has a small amount on. When it has cooled (only takes about 10-15 seconds) it should 'snap'

    Then add 1.5 teaspoons bicarbonate of soda.

    It will froth like crazy for a few seconds, and become all foamy!

    Turn it out immeaditaely on to a baking tray / greaseproof paper and leave to cool.

     

    Once cool you can break it up and start eating!

     

    Or melt some chocolate and make chocolate coated honeycomb - yum!
