So basically,It wasn't as good as the original...  I still think it's better than some of the sequels.

 

But one interesting thought I had on this, especially from the 'first' review linked...

Why do we assume that  Jackson, while obviously playing a satire role of some pundit from fox news... Is actually playing a 'conservative'? If you step back from the obviousness of his role, you have the Pro-Drone side, and the Pro-Human side. You ask me? I think from the political perspective (because they were obviously poking fun at politics... In an 'in your face' kind of way) The pro-human side = Conservative republicans, and the Pro-Drone side was Liberal Democrats.

 

Still, it doesn't make up for the horrible acting the 'star' did as human-Murphey. 

It was a sad day when he went from doing an alright job as playing human-Murphey, to already hopping into his robotic nature during the sex scene.. It really threw it off.

 

This is a movie I wanted to love, and it did disappoint.  But I already set my bar low. And you really can't get lower than Robocop 6 (robocop: Prime Directives)

For some reason Hollywood thinks that because there are better special effects now, that it will make a classic/good movie better (Clash of the Titans, Total Recall, Robocop). Graphics can help a movie, but they definitely can't carry it.

True. But I actually did enjoy robocop out of his suit.
