Windows Vista says "I hate most games"

Err, not really a quote from the operating system. Microsoft's brand new Vista operating system may be very pretty, but according to game publisher, the OS will break about 90% of Windows games.

The problem lies mainly with Vista's enhanced security.

"It's almost certain that Vista's digital rights technology will break existing casual games," said Alex St. John, teh president of casual game company Wild Tangent. For example saving game progress won't be able with Vista, he said.

Another problem: A parental filter unique to Vista that blocks games based on ESRB ratings. Most casual games you might download aren't rated, so are stopped automatically.

*insert creepy scifi "they're watching your every move"/"they're dictating morality" reference here*

The only reason for Vista right now is nothing. Don't upgrade is my advice. I do know that Microsoft is gearing up for some games going cross platform for the Vista and Xbox 360. But until then there is no need for Vista yet.

lol Vista is also having issues with getting to some websites.. DM included.
