    I just love the Gollum - Smeagol talkes/fights. One of the things that became so good in the movies. And if it wasn´t for him the ring wouldn´t have been destroyd.

    Sorry, I don't care which of the two (Gandalf or Aragorn) wins out but, in my opinion, one of them should end up the survivor.

    Have you listened to Brandon Sanderson's Writing Excuses when he talks about Gandalf magic and the inherent problems for using that 'style' of magic in modern fantasy?

    I like well thought out magic systems. LotR doesn't even have a magic system, it's just random magic for the purpose of the plot. I love the books, but Tolkien could've done a better job with the magic. Gandalf's still awesome, though.

    Hmmmmmmmmmm....... I haven't actually READ LotR in a long time, and I'm feeling conflicted based on movies.

     

    Someone convince me of who I should hurt/heal and why :P
