April Projects!

I'm a slacker, sorry, ya'll! Actually, I haven't been able to shake exhaustion for the past three days and I totally blame Kyn and his all night, overnight work habits for that! *nods*

Alright, we've got two exchanges and a coloring contest (YES, I SAID A COLORING CONTEST!) this month. The coloring contest is open to everyone! whoo-hoo!

Springtime Coloring Contest at the Kin

So, here's how this will work. First, I cheat. *laughs*

I will give you 5 choices for what to color. You print them out, color them, then PM me for my address. I get them, I scan them, I host them, and the Red Sashes vote on them. The rules are simple. You have to color it yourself (OR, for those of you with kids, you have to give the artist credit!)on the back write your name (or the artist's name, and I really like self-autographed work. ;) ) and the name I know you by. I'll post them without names, just numbers. The winners get prizes. I'm not telling you what, because...I haven't decided yet! LOL

So, your choices:

Psstt...just for fun, check out the rest of the color pages for Spring, here. I'm only putting those 5 up for judging, though. ;) http://www.dltk-holidays.com/spring/mspringposter.htm

Now, the Exchanges:

The Great Kinship Plant Swap

It's pretty simple, I think. We...SWAP PLANTS! LOL I'm willing to swap seeds for the sake of mailing ease. So, let's say seeds or bulbs. PM me if you're interested in this swap. Make sure you give me your address (if I don't already have it, or it's changed!)!!

The Great SPRING Exchange

At first, this was just going to be a Spring thing. You know, butterflies and flowers and stuff. Then Frenchie opened his mouth and changed it all. *laughs* So, we're thinking more fun. It's an actual SPRING exchange. As in, boing, boing, boing. ;) The one who finds the most creative spring, wins! Keep the $$ reasonable ($10-15 MAX) and remember you have to ship it to your exchange buddy, so keep the weight in mind, too. PM me if you're interested in this exchange(if I don't already have it, or it's changed!)!

If you decide to do more than one... REMEMBER TO TELL ME EVERYTHING YOU'RE INTERESTED IN THIS MONTH! We've got three signups going, be specific, I'm blond! *laughs*

Happy Spring, ya'll!

PS-This month's projects brought to you in part by: The Red Sashes of the Kin. When you get there, you can do this, too. ;)

*laughs* trust me, you're looking at the wrong woman. LOL As evidenced by my first attempt at mailing bookmarks!

Of course it is, Twinnie.

I haven't got the mailing materials yet, Lor. We'll see how that works out after I get paid on Friday. I have to pay the dentist for my new tooth, then I get to play. :(

OK, I'm up for the Plant Swap. :)

I would suggest though, that the local growing conditions are important, so how about a post with all the participants and where they are? Just the name and area of the state each lives in, i.e. Northern and Southern California are VERY different.

Each participant can chack the list and pick appropriate stuff to send.

Sorry I didn't think of this before...

Good idea. :) I'm definately in on the Plant Swap.

I hope I can get in on the coloring contest too, but my printer isn't working right now. Hopefully it will be soon though. :D

I would get in on the Spring Swap, but I'm not quite sure what is supposed to be interesting about a spring?? If you guys can make me understand I'll see if I change my mind. :D

I think she said we are supposed to color it with crayons and markers kind of thing and send it via mail. Lor I have a question, since I have my own scanner, can I color it and then scan it and send it to you??

I'll probably do the plant swap too (I'll PM when I'm definite). Though I suck at plants, so whomever I'm paired with will probably want to send something that's very hardy... hahahaha... (and give me ideas what they want and/or what's good in their area).

BTW, I figured the coloring thing was probably to be done by crayon/marker/pencil/paint/etc. offline, but Lor didn't necessarily specify that (though she did say print, then color... I'm just a detail freak sometimes ><), so I didn't want someone at the last minute to send something painted in Photoshop with all kinds of cool special effects... lol. Not that I care or expect to win... I just need specifics for my own brain.

I'm using crayons... I like crayons... I color more than William... hahaha...

*laughs* I'm a teacher and I finally started coloring like an adult my 2nd year of teaching. My class was so impressed and even I had to look at it twice. LOL I'm a sucker for a coloring book. *looks around* did I say that out loud?

I'd like 'em by mail if I can get 'em! I have this scrapbook of goodies that ya'll would just laugh over if you could see it. It's my DM scrapbook, so everything I collect when I meet people (that includes the program from Frenchie's concert Saturday) goes in there. I'm thinking I should probably drag it to D*Con this year. LOL Or something. My brag book... ;)

And yeah...print and color the darned thing yourself. Anyone can point and click, I want the nitty, gritty markers and crayons versions. *grins and rubs her hands together*

Oh yeah, and I live in Southeast GA. As in, the Atlantic Ocean is a 15 minute drive and the soil has a high sand content kinda Southeast GA. *nods*

Anything else I forgot? *ponders and chews her lip*

oh yeah... *pokes Kia* Yes, I saw it, now PM me like I asked you to. *laughs* Geez, woman, follow directions! *pokes some more*

*huggles Jhae* I figured you knew and I am a detail freak too, that's why I said something. *G* Ohh yes I love color books, you can always find me at school sitting at the table with the kids drawing and coloring.

Absolutely, Jhae! Please, don't anyone spend extra money on mailing me the colored pages!! LOL One stamp is all the postal service deserves and that's all I want you to give 'em. Anything else... *shakes her head*

Can you tell they're on my hit list? LOL

*laughs* Alright, ya'll, c'mon. Frenchie's the only one signed up for this one at the moment, ya'll can do it, too! Plus, I already started buying springs, so ya'll need to jump in on this one. ;)
