Early thoughts on the RTE train... I dont hate it? It seems like it's coming out of nowhere, but RTE has been going around and sort of poking/responding to everyone but I havent seen much in the way of actual takes. Like he never took a side in the Me/Zander thing, often saying my criticisms of Zanders style make good points but then turning around and either flat asking if Zander is a vig or one off comments of "This is the first towny post you've made". I need to pay special attention to him when I look back I think. I'll admit though, I'm biased, he backed me up often in the day and a half. So if y'all have more to go on that I'm not seeing, I'm open to the arguments.

For me, I'm going to be revisiting some stuff tonight and coming back with a fuller list myself, so I'm not just botherin you to do somethin for no reason.

Hey Dice, so I know you said it'd take some time and all, but I just wanna remind you/ask what your take on the first couple of pages in all of this was? I get the RTE vote, I'm not against it, I like that you're going your own way and not just taking the easy bandwagon on anyone. But I'd love a bit more detail on that vote, as well as your takes on a few of the more active people if you could. For the RTE thing, I ask for more not because it's a bad vote, but because I wanna see what got you there. Was it just the weird soft vig outing attempts at Zander or what?

I'd argue the rest of the town make do, and that he's more likely to drive people away from ever bothering to read him, but that's just me.

I have no idea, I've never played a replaceable role before, I just thought that went *with the role*. Someone who has can correct me, this is all conjecture.

Plus it's worth noting, the Watcher is replaceable, so we're not at risk of losing that information if *they* get shot, right? I assume the new watcher gets access to all of the old watchers... watches?

That only applies if there are 2 deaths, since theres no world where scum holds their N1 shot in a game with no doctor. From there we talk about who we think was the scummier shot and which was likely to be shot by a towny.

Personally I don't care, the only reason its brought up at all is because Zander wants to use it to bully completely valid criticisms off of himself.

Yes, and there's at least one high profile game where we did that exact thing to a victory.

Yeah, it's weird to me how he dismisses the idea of text having tone while simultaneously vaunting himself as an experienced, high win rate, vibe based town player.

Ok so now you're trying to stat check me? Again, havent played mafia in almost a decade. What kind of argument is this? "I've won more than you, cause you havent played in years, so I am immune from making mistakes and looking bad". Why can't you just play this game the one we're currently in? Why are you so focused on past metas/games that happened so long ago? Zanders wolf list gains another member, up to 6 now. Can he fit the whole game in while still claiming to be town? Maybe thats what he meant by "minority village".

Yeah, if you make things up and draw conclusions that dont exist, I imagine it would come off as bad reasoning and principles. Stop focusing on past metas/games most of us werent in and focus on this one.

Heavy makes a good point here imo. Day 1 is heavily scum favored, they just need to sit back and odds are active, engaged villagers devour at least one of their own while trying to shake things out. That's a normal, easy play to make that gets a first day lynch for them but imo doesn't pay off in the long run. My head says that with this many oldies, they'd know it doesn't pay off and get involved, but my gut says easy early wins are really appealing. Does that mean we should lynch afk/low active posters? No, but we should poke and prod and prompt them and not let them get away with coasting while town tears itself apart.

Yeah, thats not good. Honestly I completely agree with RTE. Regardless of if Zander is town or wolf, he's the biggest detriment to town atm because his posts are generally nonsensical, inconsistent within themselves, and filled with so much emotional vibe-based bs that its just a pain, not to mention their volume. Is that worth lynching someone over? I dunno. Add in the all of the other arguments though? Maybe. For now though we have 2 more days, I wanna get off this train Zander has forced us onto with his tunnel and see if we can't sniff out anything more promising.

Right now, your entire "sus list" are people that have criticized your posts for being bad. Verb, Dice, Me, Shad, pretty sure I'm missing someone else in there. Point is, we can't all be wolves. So are you going to take some actual advice from at least one of us? Or just blindfold yourself and try to vibe your way through this game?

Dude, stop. I'm tired of this "be better" attitude when all you're doing is making things up after being called out for lazy play. I didnt call you wolfy for 10 posts, I didn't make a case against you, I wasn't trying to build traction. I said you made a bad joke and that you should think about how you might come off better. No one is pushing you for a single one off joke. At this point, it's due to your attitude and a built up blob of nothing burger posts. I get it, you're nostalgic for those halcyon days. But none of us are the same people we were a decade ago. I Stop holding onto that, stop using it as an excuse to make crap reads and posts, stop referencing old things as if that's actual content and work. It's not. That combined with the constant "I'm town even when I'm not town cause I'm always town" crap is just so... It's aggravating man, because all you're doing is posting useless fluff and getting flustered when people point it out.
