Just a bit of FYI re how I choose which pic to post here: Sometimes 1 person's own photo just won't work in a certain AI picture. Could be that the hairline in some is wrong, or the jawline, ie they come out double in the picture, as per these examples: Freaky double hairline! "Original" jawline is peeking out behind mine: And sometimes the expressions make the world of difference, to the point where everything on the surface looks like "purple" Ajah, but the expression is just all wrong. For instance, this one of my mom just looks too sweet to be Amyrlin: Whereas this one clearly shows you've picked the wrong Amyrlin to take a chance with:

Further to what Samt said, I think the author was quite realistic in writing the Seanchan society. No society is perfect. Most have at least some good or bad points. And just because the Powers That Be decide on / implement something, does not mean that every single person who lives in that society is pure evil / pure good.

Eyes: My mom was tall, pale but tanned skin, white blonde with blue eyes. Most of her heritage is German, but there are 3 succeeding generations where the mother was from Malaysian descent. My sister Caren looks more like my dad, who's of Russian (area) Jewish moved to the Netherlands in the 1500's, French and English descent, mostly. He had olive skin, dark brown eyes and black/dark brown hair. AI is clever, but I seem to confuse it just a little bit with my eyes. It's fine with my mom's (blue) and Caren's (dark brown), but mine boggles its tiny little AI brain. My eyes are naturally hazel coloured, almond shaped, with fatty pouches on the upper lids. The colour can change from that depending on what I'm wearing to what my mood is. When I'm really angry, 1 eye goes green and the other one goes yellow. I've been told it's hella scary 🤣 When using the 2012'ish photo of me it makes me darker skinned and Asian looking with epicanthal folds, and dark brown eyes. I love that, because it reflects my Malaysian heritage! Maybe AI isn't so stoopid after all LoL. When using the latest one of me, it reflects my eyes more truly, even to colour.
