New user, came to vent.
Where in the 16 episodes has it been said that she is unable to reproduce this healing? It is ludicrous to say simply if she never uses that power again you never have to explain it, surely someone like Egwene would be keen herself to learn and replicate this ability to help others in the future. Why would she not seek to harness it again? No the fact that she is a complete newbie to the power does not reinforce this amazing healing it completely undercuts it.

Rand and Ishy was the only scene in that episode that was even remotely okay. I mean this was the episode that gave us Nynaeve telling Lan about Moiraine having a tracking tell FFS.

New user, came to vent.
I have seen no mention that this was a one off use of the power, and again it is from someone that only first used the power a mere couple of weeks prior so why you would assume that she can never make use of this ability again is beyond me. How? is such a silly question the ability to raise the dead is world bending. So when Egwene develops to her maximum potential and takes the whole tower under her very personnel protection and has access to Vora's sa'angreal she could potentially heal any dead Aes Sedai if she felt strongly enough about the dead.

New user, came to vent.
A significant portion of the audience believed that she was dead. If she was not then the creators have done a terrible job of classifying her condition. She very much looked dead to me and in any case the arguement being put forward by Digific was that it did not matter if she was dead or not.

New user, came to vent.
I'm sorry but that is just ridiculous. It's not like it's a little thing bringing someone back from the dead (which to many people is what appeared to happen). It is a world altering far reaching ability especially being wielded by an absolute rank amateur. If this ability is cannon then the stakes of the world are massively affected. Damaging the world building to achieve a feeling is piss poor writing and production. In no way is questioning the ability of the power and the wielder to achieve a healing from death over focussing or missing the point. How any episode with the absolute abomination of CGI and battle scenes that episode 8 had could be considered the best episode is beyond me.

Season 3 Trailer
There is not one item in the poster that is a direct link to Rhuidean. Everything you suggest is pure conjecture. You cannot even be sure that it is not evening rather than dawn in the poster or the trailer for that matter. IMO the shot from the trailer looks more likely to be the arrival at Rhuidean meaning the time could be either morning or evening. The ground in both shots is also completely different one is a desert the other is hard and rocky. Any attempt to state that those 2 locations are the same place is simply a fantasy that you are building in your own mind. Yes i am aware that the poster can be entirely different media and i would posit that we will never actually see the poster shot as an exact scene in the series. The wide open scene with a circle of spears apparently in the middle of nowhere seems a highly unlikely in show shot.

Season 3 Trailer
Look at the distance to the sand dunes in the background. No way that the city fits in shot 1. Look at the ground, one is hard and rocky the other is a desert. Both shots do not have mountains in the background one has sand dunes.

Season 3 Trailer
Rubbish, pause the trailer at the 1 second mark and you can clearly see the massive differences between the shots. There is no way those 2 shots are at the same location. You can argue that the other shot is better if you want but I will heavily disagree with you and I don't see the problem with giving the book fans an iconic shot to get excited about.

Season 3 Trailer
No Rhuiedan He is walking downhill. So wrong direction No fog covered city. No one waiting for him. Not sure how you think this is showing he who comes with the dawn leaving Rhuiedan The Visual of the city in the fog with Rand emerging from the sunrise striding to the waiting Aiel leaders is just simply a far more powerful one.

Season 3 Trailer
Still cant believe they did not use Rand walking out of Rhuiedan carrying Moraine as the S3 poster. Such a better visual plus awesome for the fans to see He who comes with the dawn.

Release date!!!
Firstly why did they not use the first shot of the trailer as the season 3 poster. Remove a few of the people and have Rand carrying Moiraine towards the camera and that is a much more powerful poster. Not a terrible trailer but also not much meat on it either. Loads of quick jump cuts with little dialogue.

What are they doing to Canon?
And anyone offering criticism of the show is a Bookcloak.

Could WOT learn from Fallout?
Early things that made no sense to me Mech suits power levels are all over the shop. Maximus can throw a chunk of wall KMs into the distance yet when trained knight punches bear zero effect. Capable of flight yet cannot break flimsy wooden deck. No one realising that entire 2nd shelter has been replaced by entirely different people. Despite having contact with them. Person who attacked shelter does not collect scientist despite him being in walking range of shelter. With him actually dining with purnell on her first night out of the shelter. Ghoul not killing Maximus in the mech suit despite apparently knowing how to later in the series. Leader of shelter invaders giving choice of death of his daughter or his citizens then locking her up and letting citizens go? Radiation seems to be a forgotten element once purnell goes topside. There is loads more since it been a while since i saw it.

Could WOT learn from Fallout?
Nothing made sense. Maximus grated from very early. Pretty much everything I hated and more was covered in the video I posted and from the recap of the episodes after I gave up the show only sounded like it got worse.

Could WOT learn from Fallout?
Never played it. The previews for the show looked good though and I'm a fan of Goggins especially from Justified so went in feeling fairly positive. But I found it just unwatchable.

Could WOT learn from Fallout?
Could not get past 3 episodes of Fallout just found it unbearable. First season of The Boys was the best I have seen on amazon and it's been a steady slide for that show ever since.

Season 3 (and beyond) speculation and random thoughts
Screen rant is such a garbage site. How on earth would a whitecloak investigation months after lalia’s death with no one in the two rivers having knowledge of the event reveal Perrins role. Perrins development with the white cloaks is less than paper thin in comparison to the books at this point in the tv show.

Tattoo help needed!!
Additional ones that may be good. Moirines staff that she used in the Two Rivers Moiraines Angreal that she got from the snakes and foxes if you are looking for something a bit darker. Dice and or dice cup or Playing cards from the books for Mat. If you are going down towards the hand you could also maybe incorporate Nynaeves rings and bracelet angreal. Perrins axehead would be good for the shoulder with Rands sword and Mats ashanderi for the top and bottom of the forearm could be a good foundation for the rest. Feel free to ignore any of that as I am no expert of tats though.

Totally not my take on it at all. The attack on the farm is like 60 pages into the main part of the book and from there you move into the incredibly tense trip carrying Taim to EF after the farm attack. Followed again by what I thought was a fairly intense sequence as they raced out of the two rivers. I also think of the book as being without the Ravens chapter as I only ever had the original version for 30 odd years and never new it existed till well after I had read the final book. Warmed to Matt and Rand quickly. Moved into action far quicker that lord of the rings I felt, and from what I remember since it's a long time since I read LOTR, thought that LOTR was very heavy on name dropping and such early doors and very lacking in action.

"The next Game of Thrones" is the problem
Multi year waits between seasons is a major negative IMO people drift away and forget about the story or characters they like. Almost no one is going to be maintain as high as level attachment to the show with significant gaps. Sure the hardcore fans are going to get super hyped close to launch but how many do you lose. And it's not like there are 20 episodes in the season like shows used to have. Stargate for example used to have 20 odd episodes a season released weekly and had a midseason break of 4 to 6 weeks at least which meant the show actually ran for over 6months from start of season to end of season, here we have just 8 episodes all released in a row so it's less than a third of the total season run time then 22 months before the next dribble.

It may not have struck with you but to me it is all fairly obvious. You dont need to know what the titles are to know that they are important Ilyena is shown in the prologue to be the golden haired woman that he loves and is dead and we find out by his hand. Betrayer of Hope we find out is Ishmael and that title is clearly a dark one. It was clear to me that LTT killed his wife because of the madness and he realises this after Ishmael heals him. Yes they use magical powers. The prophecies immediately post provide a clue as to how this will impact the story moving forward and again the entire book is not going to be laid bare in the first 7 pages. Nothing about any of that seems confusing to me.

A better take
Regardless of tying it into future lore it is a great self-contained start and is not in any way confusing. Things are built upon later in the series but I cannot see any confusion inducing things. You are never going to understand the entire world in the opening half dozen pages of a book. You introduce the champion of the light and the dark, and Shai'tan You introduce the madness and the taint. You show a broken AoL. You then conclude that with a cutdown of the 2 prophecies that follow that reinforce that the dragon will come again. Starting with the Gitara prophecy could work but I feel that it does not give you anywhere near the world building the other option does.

A better take
The original start with LTT and Ishmael should have been used. Sets up the world and the stakes beautifully.
