Game Over- Shady Oaks Retirement Home [Basic Game] - TOWN WINS!
This one for me. How Zander is talking about Wolf Chat coaching, while talking to Andy who is backing up the voting he is making, while calling her sus af. Could be innocent, and more people than there are wolves have been casting suspicion on Turin, but without a lot to go on this is the most suspicious. That and Mills voting for me, though I'll wait to see if he persists before taking offence and deciding there is an ulterior motive. Question: what does lock clear actually mean? That you are definitely town?

Yes, I am in the land of red light districts, windmills and milkmaids in funny hats and clogs. The Netherlands, just to be clear.

I'm in NL so same timezone as Sooh. Probably. The early pushes are definitely a bit sus - but at the same time someone has to start eventually. Until people start accusing each other there is nothing to go on as to who seems believable. Surely no one is going to mess up saying "I'm town". Either they will try to deflect too much interest, or show too little interest in doing so. Town is going to lose statistically speaking unless we flush out the wolves. I wish I had a plan for doing so, but I think we just need to all discuss our suspicions and try and pick up on the vibes.

For Andy, the way she backed up Zander so quickly without much reason. Could be a new player thing, but new as a townie or new as a mafia? Cairos seems maybe a bit too nonchalant with his casting suspicion on you, but Mills is voting for me which is something of a red flag. I'd lean towards Cairos now if I had to choose but not on very strong grounds.

I would change my vote to either at the moment. My only concern is that my main suspicion is Andy at the moment, and if Cairos or Mills turns out to be town that won't satisfy that itch either way. But yes, anyone encouraging the early voting is sus at the moment. So I'll wait for now to see where the other votes are cast.

This is my first game. No research done. The closest is I'm guessing this has a lot of parallels with Among Us, and I've not ever played that but I have been in the room while my daughter watched live action comedy based on the game. Red is sus, apparently. They were quite funny.

And Sooh hasn't said anything suspicious at all so far, not that I remember. But isn't that suspicious in and of itself? But again, not the most suspicious thing.

Turin and Dice both seem towny and big brother showing us noobs how to play. I don't know though if that puts them in the clear, though. Though by far not the most suspicious people so far.

So if we take I'm wrong on Zander and Andy being in cahoots. That leaves Cairo, Millón (Spanish autocorrect cannot tell. I'm not doing duo lingo at the moment) and if I remember right Donnchadh all backing up their vote of Turin. So Zander and Andy if they are being unsubtle, Cairos, Millón and Donchadh if they are. Or if the mafia are being quiet...

I resemble that remark. Especially as Zander is so sus right now.

Obviously wolves are evil to their very core. This randomly assigned lie is so easy to see through, sheeple. Deadpan delivery, such an underrated thing these days.

Must be innocent then? A wolf would have lied about it...

So it was me saying hello that gave me away. And I would have gotten away with it without you pesky kids. Still for now think coordination is going to be the tell on the wolves. So, so far for me that is Zander, Andy and Cairos. Of course if I'm wrong and the real mafia bump me off in the night... Well, just a risk I have to take I suppose. This game is layered lol. You got show your suspicions or Turin will think you are mafia but if you are right you become a target. And if you are wrong you become a red herring target. If that makes sense. I think I could have worded that better.

Lol I messed up too, going back to check the timer I found I had missed about three pages and most of the voting. Without Sooh's question I could have been one confused newbie. I'm finding the dynamic between Zander and Andy sus. Seems a bit like teamplay that they both vote on the same player without any discussion on the boards. Confusingly enough both Cairos and Millón seemed to back them up without making the obvious three voting block. Which would make four wolves. Perhaps I'm on the wrong track but it is still sus af. And seriously guys, when Zander says it it is hilarious but when I say towniest of townies it is unnatural? Why do people have stuff against deadpan delivery? Do I really need to type lolololoololol? Vote Zander

Hmm I see sleeping dusting the US evening is going to give me a lot of, er, posts to read in the morning. Suppose it is better than waking dead, but not much to be fair.

I was curious. For raising points I helped Mother fill out a spreadsheet with details of people in the Warders Guild which involved trying to find the last date they posted. Which meant I've dredged through a lót of old posts and a lot of people talking about Mafia. Also got me reading a 12 year old thread about feminism. That was an interesting three and a half hours though. Mafia seems like something that is an emergent property of the rules. Until you play, you'll never understand what it is about from hearing the rules.

A March event - Hoist the Colors!!
Languages have a hierarchy of colours. Hmm, that isn't actually what I mean. Er, what I mean is all languages have words for white/light and dark/black. If they have a third colour, it is always red, and fourth is yellow or green or a combination of both and so on. It seems odd but they just get by talking about a sweater the colour of blood or whatever. Found my source just incase it sounds like I am rambling nonsense https://blog.duolingo.com/color-words-around-the-world/ Homer controversially calls the sky the colour of copper which has lead to all sorts of conspiracies about aliens and past ecologies, rather than accepting he means unpolished copper.

Hi Sooh 👋 Trying to think what us towniest of townies could do to draw mafia out. They can just be quiet and win on even chances. But any noise townies make will drown them out. It would almost be safer not to lynch anyone, but of course then nothing happens to distinguish mafia and townies keep dying. It is insufferable. Perhaps we just need to gang up on someone and see what comes lose when we shake them.

That looks like something a Mafia would do to sow confusion, lol. I suppose the real fun comes when the voting starts. That is when stuff gets real.
-
Game Over- Shady Oaks Retirement Home [Basic Game] - TOWN WINS!
But it would also create even more confusion. Though to be fair I cannot imagine being much more confused than now. Baselessly accusing is not really any different from baselessly defending... no, wait. er, well. Confusion reigns.
