I like to travel when I can and I really enjoy seeing the local sites. So when you go traveling what things would you like to see or what would you recommend seeing in certain places? I will be going to Amsterdam soon and I would love some recommendations on what to visit while I'm there. I would also love the names of some good, fairly inexpensive CD shops too! ;) As for places I've been, I loved Italy, Pompeii was especially good, particularly if you are into old historical things. Rome is also a beautiful city to visit if you're into architecture. If you like wide open spaces and enjoy nature, go to Montana, the mountains and expanses of plains are quite…

Firstly, in my current process of resurrecting ideas that the Band of the Red Hand has done in the past, I am bringing back the Artist of the Month thread we used to have. It was successful, but sadly disappeared. More my fault than anything. As a result, I am bringing it back. And we'll continue it for as long as possible. Now, the group I have chosen, Rondo Veneziano, are a group I've loved for an extremely long time. Firstly, they are very different. They aren't your normal group. They are actually an Italian chamber orchestra incorporating "a rock-style rhythm section of synthesizer, bass guitar and drums. It gives a very unique feel and sound to their music". I …

Who here really loves music? I do. I just wanted to start a topic to find out about some good unheard-of bands that anyone has heard in their area. I especially would like to hear from some people in Europe as I live in the states. Im just kinda curious on whether the local music that is in other regions and countries is really different than here. I will start off with a band that I saw this last weekend. Hey everyone! I haven't been around for a LONG while, so to get to know everyone i want to hear some exciting stories about your 18th birthday, or whenever you passed tbe legal drinking age of your country!(in canada the legal drinking age is 18, although there is plenty illegal drinking that goes on!) My 18th birthday was a couple weeks ago, me and a bunch of friends went to teh Tijuana Yacht Club and got too drunk. It was a good night, drank lots of new drinks most exciting of which was a praire fire. This drink was terrible! tequila and tabasco in a shot glass, yum :P Then i stumbled into the restroom to get rid of a dozen or so drinks and was suprised…

You've probably noticed that my handle has now changed slightly. It used to be el Nynaeve, but is now el Nyn due to confusion with another person here on DM. Taking a different slant on our travel theme, as well as asking a question I like to ponder every now and then with my interest in history, I am going to pose the following question to everyone. If you could time travel, where would you go and why? And I'm going to be greedy, as there would be quite a few periods I'd like to go to! 1. Travel back to the Assyrian Empire Since studying Ancient Mesopotamian history, the Assyrians would be the people I'd travel back to. Paher, welcome to the most wonderful Org, the band. I'm an RLO from the Infantry regiment and I'll be looking after oyu when you come for your week with us as an Raw Recruit.
