  1. Well, I just saw this last night and.... I was left underwhelmed. The CGI was decent, but it also felt like a tech demo for their new Unreal Engine demo. If you played their "The Matrix Awakens" tech demo, you'll see what I mean. https://www.unrealengine.com/en-US/wakeup The acting was... typical for Matrix. Keanu did his typical Wooden Neo, Carrie Moss did a good job portraying Tiffany & Trinity. The new Morpheus did a decent job with the few lines he was given. Jessica Henwick as Bugs was good for what she did. Jada Pinkett Smith as Niobe was... Okay? If anything the make up artist sucked at make her actually look 60 yea…

So as we all love long series, anyone here been sucked into the Horus Heresy series? If you don't know it, it's a sci fi space opera written by multiple authors set in Games Workshops 30K universe, the initial series is 50 books plus multiple novellas and side projects. Then the Seige of Earth series is I think going to be 8-10 books long.

It's been on and off, but there happen to be lots of rumors about a Stargate reboot, although it would probably be a new show with Sam Carter as the general leading the new Stargate command. Which would be great! But it's been rumored for so long, I don't dare to hope. Not much. Just a little. The sale of MGM to Amazon is a cataclyst, it seems. Apparently there are plans for a new series that have been put on hold for the take over and would probably be one of the franchises that Amazon could use for Prime Video. Any fans or semifans here with ideas and opinions?

  21. Hello to everyone! My name is Jenny but at Dragonmount I was known as Jaydena McKanthur and was Captain General on both sides of DM for 8+ years. As the wheel turned I ended up leaving the site for various reasons. This site was a huge part of my life for many years, in fact I joined my first Wheel of Time site (Dragonmount) in 1998. When I sat down to decide on the topic of my Senior Capstone project (a requirement for my Bachelors degree) I knew immediately what I wanted to do. Fandoms and the support that one can find from belonging to one is a subject I have experienced personally. For my research study I have created a survey that I would very much appreciate anyone …

  24. Hey all! I have been wondering, with WoT about to be on screen, what is your all time favorite adaptation to date? It can be to either large or small screen, but it must have been in print before going to screen, even if it was obscure. For me, there are two that are equally my favorites, (but I'm likely forgetting some important one(s)) 1. Lord of the Rings trilogy 1a. Gone to Texas (The Outlaw Josey Wales). Looking forward to some of you reminding me of others that I like.

As a Discworld fanatic and of the Watch stories in particular, I have long desired a TV adaption or movie of Guards Guards!. However, my long-held dream has recently turned into a nightmare after seeing the trailer for the upcoming series "The Watch". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SRHCHMGSBQ0 How did Terry Pratchett's' estate approve this?

Has anyone watched Dark on Netflix? Oh holy cow...it's A LOT to process. It's definitely a show that needs multiple re-watches. There is so much that is GOOD about the show, from the concept, to the writing, acting, set and costume design...it's all intentional and well thought out. I'd love to hear ya'lls thoughts on the show.

I will kick this thread of with one of my favorite youtubers Alayna Joy, that tells us "Love yourself, enough to date yourself" ❤ Yup, think I have a date tonight..candles, snack, and some self care in form of heating pillow, maybe even a footbath?
