Hey, I just wanted to get a plug in for Red Tails! Don't listen to the critics, it's great! I think most WOT fans will enjoy this movie. It's a very different kind of war film, there's no mission, or big battle to build up to, it's more about the pilots & their relationships, but it has a light touch, nothing to melodramatic or stagey. Definitely make time to see this on the big screen! Has anyone but me seen it?

So, I heard that they were going to make the 2nd official season, but Andy Whitfield's death, obviously put it on haitus (Hence why Gods of the Arena was released). I Loved The original Series, faults and all. If they did one thing well, its making a villian you despise, and who better than this snivling weasle? (aside from Draco in HP!) . Then, while searching for something to watch, here I find Spartacus Vengeance is already out! (apparently it released the 27th!!) I loved the episode, and can't wait to finish off the rest of the season. However, the obivous casting issue.. Liam McIntyre is obviously no Andy Whitfield (I think its the eyes that …

Hi, I'm currently looking into writing an essay as part of my degree on music by Joe Hisaishi scored for Studio Ghibli films. Basically, I need to watch several of the films, but it's unrealistic to try and watch them all, so I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations as to the better ones to watch? So far I've watched Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke and Nausicaa; Valley of the Wind. Any further suggestions would be greatly appreciated! ;)

in my view it looks like they've put in too many character storylines, i just wish they'd wrap up the original character's stories then move onto a new generation

Take an opportunity to list your favorite and least favorite TV shows of the year. Emp's Favorite TV shows of 2011: 1. Breaking Bad - The show keeps topping itself each season. Sadly next season will be the last. 2. Downton Abbey - Whoa... a PBS (well really BBC) show is at the top of my list. I discovered this little gem and fell in love with it. Some will think it a bit stuffy but if you give it a chance you will love the story and characters. 3. Homeland - One of the reasons I am glad I keep my premium channels. The best new show on TV this season. 4. Justified - Mags really made this season shine. 5. Game of Thrones - I am sure most …

I saw the first hour of this last night and I did not think it was as bad as these reviews. I am not a fan of lost footage films so watching a show in this style is the biggest complaint from me. I would prefer they sprinkle in some lost footage moments and give me a real show. I am intrigued by the Source and the way they are approaching magic. I will follow this show over the next few weeks. HuffPost TV says: ... isn't terrible, and it actually has some effective elements, but it's fairly indicative of ABC's post-"Lost" flailing. … as I watched the first five episodes of the show, a point-counterpoint developed while writing things down in my notebook. …

The Mechanic So crappy I can't even rank them: -100: I Am Number Four/The Green Hor…

Director James Cameron says that the two much anticipated "Avatar" sequels could be shot at a higher frame rate than expected. The industry standard has been 24 frames per second for decades. The upcoming "The Hobbit" prequels are being shot at double the rate - 48 frames per second. Now, Cameron tells The Hollywood Reporter that he's weighing the possibility of shooting 60 frames per second and the impact it will have on his job, audiences and exhibitors - "I think it is such an affinitive answer. But other people may choose 48 for other reasons. The 3D shows you a window into reality; the higher frame rate takes the glass out of the window. The reason I went down th…

Hey guys so I think at least a couple people were interested in all the pokemon art I've collected so I uploaded it all for you to check out if you want before you download just note that there IS a folder clearly marked as NSFW so if you're not interested in that kind of stuff just delete it the pictures are fairly well organized in about 5 or 6 different folders so you shouldn't have too much trouble finding any kind of pictures you want to see except for the misc folder (which includes comics, memes, and other random junk) oh and there's also a folder with pictures I did myself using MS paint they're pretty awful but whatever here's the download link [L…

Sassisam Blog has posted up the first two official promotional stills from Baz Luhrmann's "The Great Gatsby" adaptation at Warner Bros. Pictures. The project has been shooting the past few months in Sydney and stars Carey Mulligan (Daisy), Leonardo DiCaprio (Jay Gatsby) and Tobey Maguire (Nick Carraway) and though there's been numerous set photos, this marks the first time we've seen proper stills. The movie is scheduled to open next December.
