Ok so Portal; still alive has been announced and looked forward to since E3, but Portal 2 is not greenlit as well. P2 may have multiplayer, but it's still hazy. Some of the characters HAVE been sketched out though. Still Alive Possible Portal 2 spoilers.

I am talking currently on air or most anticipated new shows. Honorable mentions go to Entourage, Big Love, The Tudors, Grey's Anatomy, and Pushing Daisies.

The Shawshank Redemption has now reached the number one spot on the IMDb Top 250 rankings. Yeah, who cares, but I thought the way it got to number one was funny. If it's true, that is. According to one of the posters at the Shawshank forums over at imdb, the reason that Shawshank reached number one is because the Godfather fans and the Batman fans have a bit of a feud. When The Dark Knight was released it reached number one right away. No biggie, a lot of new movies that are good get a high ranking for a while, but I don't know if anyone has ever gotten to #1. Looks pretty good, but why couldn't they get him to buff up like that in Brokeback! I am a fan of anything on TV that is not reality. This could actually be a pretty good series if done correctly.

I know empy is sad that I haven't done one of these in a couple of weeks, so I'm back and here it is. My greatness faced off against west tex, and unlike our last encounter my team actually decided to play. Though I felt bad for west and let him win a few categories, I still pulled out a 6-4 victory. Well, my friends decided to go see the new Mummy movie, and since I was already with em, I tagged along. My review? Ok mindless action flick. Thats about it though. Maybe worth renting if there's nothing else, otherwise, wait til some station shows it on TV.

Anyone else watching? It's set in the Madison Avenue (hence "Mad" Men) advertising scene in the 50s, and more specifically centers around the creative director of one ad agency, named Don Draper. But apparently that's not his real name, and the show is just starting to get into who he really is. I just started to hear about it within the last two weeks, and I've seen the first four or five episodes of the series. It's pretty good, although I felt like they were beating me over the head with the 50's gender inequality issues in the workplace in the first episode. so it's not at the level of VH1s "_____ of Love"s, but on Bravo Real Housewives of Orange County was pretty clearly derived from ABCs Desperate Housewives (which is a bit of a reference to Stepford Wives). Following RHofOC was Real Housewives of New York, currently there's a spin-off of RHofOC... Date my Ex, and I've just learned that there's about to be a Real Housewives of Atlanta. Anyone want to place bets on which city will be next? Atlanta's cast seems more annoying than the past seasons, but several of them appear to actually be friends, instead of just being mashed together by the show as NY was.

If you read this blog, specifically the 'Yes, its coming...' The guy who does the blogs for fileplanet, flat out says that a MAJOR Beta is coming our way to fileplanet. Subscriber only mind you. Obviously this doesn't affect me much, since I already have one... But if you read the blog, you'll notice some letters are a bit brighter than others. And they spell out; Darkness Is Soon. Could this be Warhammer? The 2nd expansion for WoW? Or something so completely awesome you'd never thought you'd get into the beta? But what could that be with something like 'darkness is soon' as a clue? Starcraft 2 perhaps? I dunno, but its got me intrigued now.
