Just finished this show last night... and it was weird. Not stranger things weird, but weird.

So, this is the thing: My re-enactment group (middle ages) and I helped a young team of filmmakers to make a promotional video for a movie they'd like to make next year. The following thread will contain spoilers for all five books of A Song of Ice and Fire! So it´s only 60 days left! Yay! I´ve been looking forward to this season since last season ended. I have become a lurker on both Westeros and WotW to get the latest news. It seems like the show will drift away from the books more and more. I don´t mind as long as all my favourite scenes are in. Saw a trailer for this new series the other day. Starting in January. I heard it is following the Elfstones storyline. I'm pretty excited about the idea of another high fantasy tv series. Wish it were WoT, but I understand that Shannara lends itself a little better to a season-series as the books stand alone, more or less. Hopefully it does well and paves the way for something else...

Last we saw, Bruce and Alfred were discovering the cave. Can't wait to see what secrets are down there. The premiere is next Monday.

So, I've been watching the new series, Outlander on Starz recently. Story and content wise its pretty good so far, and unlike Spartacus, it's not hyper violent or sexualized.

well theres nothing NSFW in here yet, but its a deadpool thread so its bound to happen at some point XD whose going to see it, whose amped up, and who are the haters lol <--- going on opening night with a group of about 8 other equally amped up fans >:) i absolutely adore this 4th wall breaking, chimmichanga loving, crazy man. and Ryan Reynolds is PERFECT for him. neigh, Ryan Reynolds no longer exists. Wade perma jumped the 4th wall into our universe, has been using the allias of Ryan Reynolds all along and is finally making his awesome presence known.

So I avidly read all the first reviews from everyday people fortunate enough to see the movie a week ahead of time and all the ones I could find were raving with how amazing the movie was, how great Gadot and Affleck were, and how it was one of the best superhero films ever. So imagine my surprise when I found out that it was sitting at a 33% on Rotten Tomatoes and most of the critic reviews stated that it was dull, lethargic, boring, etc. I know I'm pretty excited to see it in spite of what the critics are saying. Anyone going to see it tonight?

Because I'm the most generous person in the world, (and has absolutely nothing to do with being too lazy to post the game over the last two weeks) I've decided to allow everyone a chance at picking the winning team for each game. Did anyone catch the first episode last night? Kind of a depressing one if you ask me. I guess that's sort of the point though.

the first season of this show is on Netflix, the 2nd season is going on now. if you're not watching this show, give the first episode a try. i dont say this about many shows, but this one is like a really good book where you just have to read the next chapter to find out what happens. bubba and i are only in the middle of season 1 (so i wont be partaking in the convo until we're caught up XD ) but everyone says the 2nd season is SOOOOOO much better than the first. seeing what i've seen of the 1st season, idk if thats possible tbh lol

Has anyone seen any of this? I'm only two episodes in as I post this, but enjoying it so far. Alternate history has long been something I've gotten a kick out of. The character development seems good, and the world-building has been effective, with the little throwaway details that don't add much to the actual plot but make the world seem more real by fleshing things out some. (I took particular notice of Dragnet still existing in this timeline, but being about Nazi cops.) So far, the changes from the original book have been done well for the most part.
