Let me get this game out of the way.... Empy vs. F Horn : What can I say... you rock.. I suck. You are my world and great and merciful. I bow to you.... No player really stood our for F Horn, but his whole team came to play. I got screwed when the NY defense dominated and therefore Manning and Plexico had little work to do. F Horn wins 130 to 108 (note my 108 would beat most other teams though!) Wooly vs. Karana - When your kicker is the second best player on your team... well it would usually mean defeat as with the case of Karana. After dominating the league in points each week, she comes in 6th with total points. But does that really matter when you sti…

http://movies.msn.com/movies/hitlist/10-23-07_2?GT1=7701 According to this article there may be as much as a 50% chance the writers union will strike. This would probably affect tv before motion pictures as there is higher turnover of scripts on the box.

Got this off of DarkHorizons: Hey, at least George Lucas isn't doing the writing - that's gotta be a plus. I'm also hoping he's got little more than a very general idea of the setting of probably plots. The less hands on the bearded buffoon has with this series the better the chances that it will be something halfway decent to watch. It still irks me to no end that Lucas and his whipping boy Rick McCallum are claiming this series will bridge the gap between the prequels and the original series when we were told for nearly a decade that the films would bridge the gap. It only goes to highlight what an incredible waste of time 90% of the prequels were.

Let today be known as a Milestone in the life of myself and my TV obsession in general. Folks, I just ordered cable! For those of you who don't know, I have spent the last nearly 6 years refusing to purchase any cable access excepting the time that I lived in a loft for a year and had to pay $13/month for basic stuff you Should get with an antenna, but the reception was so bad I couldn't even get local channels. For the last year I've had FREE basic cable thanks to the cable company forgetting to turn the service off in my unit from the last tenant. But several months ago the new cable company sent a mass mail out to everyone in the city about how it's r…

Variety reports that Warner Bros. has acquired North American distribution rights to Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins, triggering an early 2008 production start for a film that seeks to reinvent the cyborg saga with a storyline to be told over a three-movie span. WB plans to distribute "Terminator Salvation" in summer 2009. The "Terminator" film franchise got a new lease on life in spring, when privately funded Halcyon and its co-CEOs Victor Kubicek and Derek Anderson teamed with Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines executive producer Moritz Borman to acquire film, merchandising and licensing rights from ex-Carolco partners Andy Vajna and Mario Kassar. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/content_display/news/e3i16c1ed3bf76536b4c669651706799643 TORONTO -- Commercial director Joseph Kosinski is in final negotiations to develop and direct "Tron," described as "the next chapter" of Disney's 1982 cult classic. Sean Bailey is producing via the Live Planet banner, as is Steven Lisberger, who co-wrote and directed the original film. Kosinski, who last month signed on to helm the remake of "Logan's Run" for Warner Bros. Pictures, will oversee the visual development of the project and have input on the script, which is being written by "Lost" scribes Eddie Kitsis and Adam Horowitz. Story details are being kept secret…

Just saw this today, and I must say that I absolutely loved it! Sean Penn does a fantastic job of capturing the mystery, self-centered adventure, and poetic vision of a young man searching for truth in life. It's an adaptation of John Krakauer's book of the same name, and tells the true story of a kid who graduates from college, cuts up his credit cards and drivers license, abandons his car in the desert, burns his money and goes in search of answers. The imagery Penn captured is fantastic. The portrayal of Chris "Alexander Supertramp" McCandless is brilliant as an idealistic adventurer who touches, and changes, the lives of those he encounters, but whose self-center…

I had never heard of this movie, but I just finished watching it, and I'm very glad I stumbled across it. Well worth the watch, somewhere between 4 and 5 stars. I only give 5 stars to movies I could watch over and over again, which are few and far between. This I could probably watch another time or two, at least. Quickie plot appetite whetter (by yours truly): A group of researchers has spent the last six years developing a fully life-like 24/7 persistent virtual world. It's designed to let people jack in by going unconscious and swapping minds with one of the characters inside. Things become complicated when soon after the system is finally completed, the…

Well we have an undisputed first place team after this week... but that will be revealed later. Paityr vs. Hax: This game could have gone anyway… but if you are Hax you must wonder why your starting QB only got you 3 points. Ouch. This was the difference maker in the game. Hax, maybe it is time to pick up someone else (Lemon is hot now). Paityr wins 76 – 66. Wooly Vs Tenshin: The two players Tenshin player did an excellent job picking up points but could not compete the full roster of Wooly. Wooly easily takes this down 99 to 48. F Horn vs. Saldean Farmgirls: The Bengals lost on Sunday which means F Horn had a little trouble with his team. It also …

Excluding Sylar and Peter from the debate due to the special nature of their abilities, who is the most powerful 'hero'? I have to say Linderman. The power to heal any ailment up to the point of death is more powerful than the simple ability to time-travel.

So is anyone else a fan of the horror themed 'Supernatural' on the former WB. I tried to get interested in several new shows last year, includeing Ghost Whisperer, Invasion, Threshold, and that one about the sea creatures I can't think of the name of besides Supernatural, but this was my favorite and ended up being the only one of the lot I stuck with. The network was stupid to skip a week of programming last season and move it to a new night without much advertising, and especially since they moved it from a good spot on Tuesdays to putting it up right against CSI. I was surprised but glad it got renewed after that, and it is still up against CSI. Season 2 begins …

Last nights season premire of House was great. House had to diagnose and case alone while Cuddy and Wilson tried to convice him that he needs a team. I kept thinking that House may want to get a team for simple fact that he has to do everything himself (including meeting and talking to patients) and he should get a team if for nothing else than to have people to do the scut work for him. Wilson's "kidnapping" of House's guitar was hilarious, especially with his not so veiled attempts at keeping his identity as the kidnapper hidden. Reading the news paper with pieces cut out of it, just after house get's the kidnapping note made of cut out letter was particul…

Okay, so the first thing one of you people (since no one will remember me :o) might be thinking is, whoa Essy is posting again. I've been gone for a long time, and I'm not coming back as much as I did last time, but I could stop by and say hi once and a while ;). Anyways, down to the real discussion here; House! Anyone been watching the new series? There is another one on tonight, to. Tell me what you all think of the new series so far. I personally love how House hired like 40 doctors to replace 3, and still hasn't figured out who he wants! -Essy

Well let's get started.... Seggie (I love the Cowboys) vs. F Horn (shite, my whole team is on a bye) Seggie came into Monday night football with a measly 20 some points. Things looked dire for Segs... well... except he has almost the entire Cowboy team in his lineup. Just like Monday night football, Seggie comes from behind and takes the win from F Horn. Wooly (what happened to my team) vs. Hax (I am just here to impress the ladies) In the saddest game of the week, Wooly barely beats Hax in a "who can score the lowest points" which means Hax actually gets the win for the week. I am sure Hax is happy that Romo had so much trouble against Buffalo's …

I just saw this in the theaters tonight... Now fair warning, if you hated 1&2 you will hate Extinction, but if you liked 1&2 you'll like Extinction. The basic plot is that after Racoon City incident, the virus spread, it was not contained. It spread within weeks through out the united states, and in months, the world was infected. There are only a handful of survivors across the world, mostly either constantly moving around (else be swallowed up in an endless horde of zombies), or underground in Umbrella Corpe underground super Bunkers (makes the one in the first movie look like a play toy. :P) Anyways, The movie centers around your main heroine, from the…

Hey guys ! The Witcher will be released on 26th of October in Europe. I wonder how many of you have heard about this game. The trailer was shown on E3 and since then only one more ingame footage was released. It seems that this game will be a very good RPG! As a huge fan of cRPG I just can't wait to put my hands on it. Ingame world is based on books by Andrzej Sapkowski, but it is not neccesary to read them to have fun with this game. Just check it out!
