Anybody watch? I missed the first few minutes, but saw most of it. I really liked the beginning photoshoot they did this season. I think the worst one was when they did poloroids of the girls. It was nice to throw them in the water first this time. It kind of gave a good way to tell who's gonna step it up and who's gonna be a baby. Which made some of those cuts Easy. But it wasn't near as harsh as the year that they had to get naked right away. There seems to be several girls with attitudes on this cycle. It's going to be interesting to see how things go between them and the chick with Aspberger's (sp??). Can't wait to see the house and how they divy it up. …

Did anybody watch? I wasn't sure I'd like it, but I just couldn't helpit. I Adore Addison Shepherd! And of course, this spin off had the one thing that Gray's Anatomy has that gets me every time. I Cried My Eyes Out! And then I laughed out loud over Addison's first "I'm staying" speech.

I am not a huge fan of Ridley Scott, or Russell Crowe or Denzel Washington. I think they can be very good, but more often than not, i am either not overly impressed with what they do, or just annoyed with them. I think Ridley has made some amazing movies that are visually stunning and have great stories and he has also made movies that just fall flat. I give him credit with at least trying new and different things, and for that i appreciate him. I think Russell peaked with LA Confidential and from then on he's pretty much annoyed me. I don't find him all the special or "intense" or interesting of an actor. i think he turns on the machismo way too much and overdoes it most…

Empy back to fill you in on all the fun in DM's official Fantasy football league. Let's start off with results from this past week. Anyone that watches Poker will appreciate this. Paityr is like the Hellmuth of poker. Hellmuth makes it a habit of coming to games late. Paityr decides to ignore his team for the first three weeks. Will this strategy work? Seggie vs. Paityr - It really isn't Paityr's fault he is now 0-3.... it seems all the studs are underperforming. LT, SJ.... Paityr's team. Seggie whips Paityr. No... that isn't right. Seggie makes Paityr go out in the yard and choose his thrash and then whips him. Score 122 to 64. Ouch. …

“Chuck” is a sci-fi action-comedy, from “O.C.” mastermind Josh Schwartz, about a Seth Cohen-ish electronics-store employee who suddenly discovers his college frenemy has downloaded an astonishing amount of sensitive government data into his brain without his permission. Agents of the U.S. government are not happy, and must decide whether to use Chuck or to chuck Chuck. The pilot has a pretty, Bristow-esque CIA secret agent out to seduce the title character, while a more menacing NSA operative (“Firefly’s” Adam Baldwin, playing what could be the angrier cousin of his “The Inside” FBI character) has other ideas. As good as all this might sound fans should pe…

Thought that the Sci-Fi Channel had messed around with BSG so much they couldn't do anything else to irritate fans? Wrong! According to this article (some really good stuff in there elsewhere on Season 4 and the TV movie, but beware spoilers) there is a 'possibility' that Season 4 may be split in half. This chimes with earlier reports from castmembers (dismissed as 'jokes' by the producers) that the first ten episodes will air in 2008 and the second ten in 2009 :? This also accords with reports that the previously-mooted January 2008 start date for Season 4 is now likely to be pushed back to at least March, possibly further if the split takes place. Okay,…

AMERICAN GANGSTER (Universal Pictures) Frank “Superfly” Lucas, played by Denzel Washington, was the biggest Heroin dealer on Harlem through the 70’s and narcotics detective Richie Roberts, played by Russell Crowe, was the man who ultimately brought Lucas down. This film, directed by Ridley Scott and written by Steven Zaillian, tells the story of how this happened. Why Empy thinks so: Russell Crowe and Denzel Washington being directed by Ridley Scott. However, Ridley Scott seems to be hit or miss on his films. THE KITE RUNNER (DreamWorks SKG) The compelling story of two Afghan men: the wealthy and California-raised Amir and his childhood friend and se…

  11. This is where Empy looks at the matchups and picks his favorites... and talks a little trash at the same time. Please feel free to respond. Empy's Guaranteed Pick: Karana defeats Seggie - Why? Because the Cowboys suck and Seggie broke Fantasy Rule #1 and tried to draft the entire Cowboy roster in devotion to his team. However, Dallas is playing the Giants this week and this could work in his favor. Karana has a pretty well rounded team though. Tenshin loses to Saldaean Farmgirls (I forget who you are) Nothing tickles me more than to see a girl beat up guys in Fantasy Football. This will be the case this week as Ten seems to have made the same mist…

MTV News has posted a very in-depth interview with "Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem" directors Greg and Colin Strause, one filled with lots of spoilers and talk of a possible sequel. Most interesting is that the pair distance themselves from the original AVP - "The studio knew that, although the last movie made a lot of money, it didn't really resonate solidly with the fans. To get the same people back into the theater a second time, it was gonna be a bit of an uphill battle." says Greg. Colin confirms that neither he or his brother met with AVP director Paul Anderson - "I don't think anyone wanted us to talk to him. This movie works even if you didn't see [Anderso…

  15. I have read this book many times and think I still own it. Very good book as well as the follow up, Black House. After a successful collaboration on the critically acclaimed "Into the West," TNT is teaming once again with DreamWorks Television and executive producer Steven Spielberg, this time for an epic, six-hour adaptation of Stephen King and Peter Straubs' other-worldly adventure "The Talisman," according to an announcement by Michael Wright, senior vice president of original programming for TNT and TBS. This project also returns the drama network to King territory after such high-profile projects as "Salem's Lot," one of cable's most popular movies of 2004, and …

Seems that LucasFilm, Ltd. has registered six titles with the MPAA, each of which could be the title of the next film. The MPAA fields protests from other studios about film titles, but, once they're though the MPAA, they can all be used legally.

Shoot 'Em Up can be summed up in 9 words. Hilarious, Pure Awesome, Non Stop Action, And a Carrot. This movie, May not be as 'serious' as Die Hard 4, but I gaurntee you, It is full of great one-liners, laugh out loud shooting scenes, and an over-all o-k plot for an action movie. Did I mention its LITTERALLY non-stop action? I'm not talking about 10 minutes of action, followed by 20 minutes of story, followed by 15 minutes of action. Ect ect. I'm talking about 20 minutes of action followed by a 2 minute breather, followed by pure awesome action. ;D

I am somewhat interested in this film. The Daily Mail has revealed a cast photo of the key actors in "Valkyrie," the Bryan Singer-directed WW2 thriller about a failed German conspiracy to assassinate Hitler. Here's a look at the photo below. From the left they are: Kevin McNally as former Mayor Carl Goerdeler Christian Berkel as Officer Albrecht Riter Merz von Quirnheim Bill Nighy as General Friedrich Olbricht Tom Cruise as Count Claus Schenk Graf von Stauffenberg Terence Stamp as General Ludwig Beck David Schofield as Field Marshal Erwin von Witzleben Kenneth Branagh as Henning von Tresckow

Frank Herbert's "Dune" novels remain amongst the most impossible literature properties to translate onto the screen, but that won't stop people from trying. C.H.U.D. reports that Byron Merritt, the adminstrator of the official Dune novel forums and a member of the Herbert family, says that after months of ongoing negotiations, things are coming to a head for a new feature film version of the property. Back in May he said they were "still in negotiations with the studio reps/lawyers. The contract lengths are enough to make one ill...We're getting VERY close to a deal. So Yveva and I saw the special sneak preview last weekend and here is what I thought.... This is essential a remake of the Glenn Ford and Van Heflin by the same name but the director/writers do a great job of bringing this back to the big screen (especially as many will not know about the original in the first place). I thought the movie really does a pretty good job utlizing the acting skills of Russell Crowe and Christian Bale (no ladies, he is not topless in this one). The plot is simple.... Crowe is an outlaw that is caught and is needed to be escorted to the prison train. Bale volunteers with a group of other men (one being Alan Tudyk). Like any good outlaw,…

Wizards of the Coast confirmed the fourth iteration of the D&D roleplaying game last month. The new version of the game will ship in June-August 2008 and will apparently incorporate many of the rules initially roadtested in the Star Wars Saga Edition RPG (from the same publishers). It will utilise an updated form of the D20 system, but is apparently designed at streamlining the system with less micro-managing. The Forgotten Realms will be the first setting to be updated, with a new version of the campaign setting planned for release shortly after the core rulebooks. Eberron may be updated the following year. No word on whether 4th Edition will be OGL or not with confl…
