1. Started by Emperor,

So yesterday I reported the Dusku signed a deal with Fox and entertained the idea that she should meet up with Minear and maybe get a Faith the Vampire Slayer show going. Well FORGET THAT! Now comes word that Minear will instead team with another former collaborator – “Wonderfalls” co-creator Todd Holland – for “Miracle Man,” a supernatural drama pilot Fox is producing for ABC. It’s about a disgraced ex-televangelist with no faith (heh) who starts performing real miracles. Aside from “Angel” and “Wonderfalls,” Minear has been a major creative force on the Fox hourlongs “Firefly,” “The Inside” and “Drive.”

Reeves committed over the weekend to play Klaatu, a humanoid alien who arrives on Earth accompanied by an indestructible, heavily armed robot and a warning to world leaders that their continued aggression will lead to annihilation by species watching from afar. Scott Derrickson ("The Exorcism of Emily Rose") is directing from a script by David Scarpa. A late fall or early 2008 start of shooting is planned.

its amazing how much random thinking you can do when you spend 10 hours a day under a welding hood but one of the things i was thinking about today was all the different cartoons that were on when i was a kid. what with so many being made into movies now i thought i would ask what different people thought were some of the best toons ever made. some of my favorites would include.... ducktails the old donald duck and chickmunks cartoons (circa 1940's 50's) the smurfs transformers she ra he man the thundercats what are yours?

“K-Ville” is a new Fox drama, from writer-producer Jonathan Lisco (“The District,” “Jack & Bobby”) about cops maintaining the peace in post-Katrina New Orleans. It stars Anthony Anderson (“Transformers”). Its pilot doesn’t air till Sept. 17 but Fox just stuck it up on the Internet. Click here to watch. If you watch it, let me know what you think with a reply. I will probably check it out later today.

Who watched it? What do you think? Was it worth the wait? I liked getting some back story on one of the "Others"... it was interesting to me that I think in the past the backstory has shown directly how the person ended up on the plane which crashed, last night's was more indirect and we're not entirely sure how she ended up on the Island. Do you think she'll really be allowed off? For me this episode wasn't completely compelling, but then again, I don't think I am the most rabid Lost fan. I found myself drifting to other channels during commercials and almost forgetting to return to it.

  12. I watch crap-tv that Empy seriously despises, but I can't help it, I love it. And therefore I am totally excited that The Hills is returning on Monday! Seriously! And I will also admit to watching the season premiere of Real World: Sydney... but I don't know if I will continue watching. I haven't really followed a season since Vegas, but I still watch the opening episodes of it.

All I can say is that I am so glad this programme is back for its third series! For those of you who don't know what Tribe is all about, Bruce Parry goes to various tribes in remote places of the world and lives with them for a month, learning their way of life, becoming a member of the tribe. This involves participating in rituals, asking questions about how the outside world is affecting their lives and much much more. Some may call him mad for doing it, but it extremely enlightening as a programme goes. This week, he was in the Amazon river with the Matis tribe - a tribe that was only found in the 1970s, but already in a struggle with the outside world. Outs…

I just saw this film on Netflix Watch Instantly, And I just have to say. WOW This movie is by far, one of the best sci-fi time travel movies. Ever! http://www.netflix.com/WatchNowMovie?movieid=60034782&trkid=203099

  15. For those of you that saw this new trailer and are confused and trying to figure out what it is... Let's catch you up. That BAD ROBOT produced trailer that touts J.J. Abrams name and has a cute moment with the Statue of Liberty... well, that's the start of what promises to be a very unique marketing campaign. What's the title of the film? Well, the cover name is CLOVERFIELD, but that is not the title of the film. In fact there is no title for the film - and I wouldn't put it past JJ to release a film with no title. Now What Is The Film About? That's been tightly underwraps too. So it looks like it is going to be about ancients rising up and it …

So put down your car dvd-player... we're going easy on you. You don't need to take a 'book', the text is on a screen too, so no horrid withdrawl signs will occur. You might encounter a slight tingeling in your fingers from scrolling, but consider it your physical excersise for this month :) All of those movies, series, gameshows, talkshows, etc MUST have prepared you to the teeth for the various Competitions available in the Hornsounder. I have, therefore, no doubt that a whole score …

This is running on ABC Family around 9pm. I can't decide whether this show is hysterically brilliant or disgusting. I missed the premiere, so this week is the first episode for me. And already the two main characters have convinced the insane doomsdayer cat to crawl inside the skin of a cat that succumbed to being roadkill in order to collect a Lost and Found reward. Gross. The really funny part is that they are supposed to be on vacation in Mexico, but they missed their flight so they are doing Mexico things at home. I have to wonder though, how can ABC Family run a show that discusses threesomes and girls rubbing tanning oil on one another with the int…

Ok, since most of you people on the wrong side of the Atlantic are too lazy to pick up European movies, I'm going to make a short review of the movie of the year, This Is England, so you can understand why you Must see this. The movie takes place in the early 80s. Shaun is 12, he just lost his father in the Falklands, so he lives alone with his mother in poverty. If that wasn't enough, he is also bullied in school. Then comes the change, he starts hanging out with a gang of skinheads, who becomes his new family. These blokes are not the kind of skins you think about today, they are not more racist than the average John down at the local pub. The original skin…

  23. Last week's review: As usual, I didn't make it home by 7. So I missed the very beginning. Lacey & Kameron: I wish I could have seen this one. It looks like it was a lot of fun. Shauna & Cedric: I didn't really think they were together much. But then again I didn't get to watch the whole thing. I came in just as they started and was distracted by my MaizyLoo clamboring for attention. Danny & Anya: Wow this was a great dance. Danny is just awesome technically and I'm always so proud of Anya. She always steps up and does an amazing job. So what do you all think about the debate Nigel and the guest host had about Danny? I agree with N…
