So Spike TV is doing one of their endless James Bond marathons again right now. Its pure awesomeness, I've gotten to see some that I haven't seen in forever, as well as being entirely skeeved out by what looks like a pre-teen ice dancer throwing herself at someone's grandfather. (Roger Moore in For Your Eyes Only) Anybody else watching this?

I had this nice fancy post with humor and other stuff, and then DM ate it. Bad dog!!! So, since I am procrastinating doing work, I will try to remake it. 1. BSG - I admit, BSG lost me near the start... but then gripped me with the third episode!!! So good. 2. Heroes - Hiro is awesome but the show was a little over hyped... save the cheerleader got a little old. 3. Grey's Anatomy - I watch it to communicate with the opposite sex... and I might secretly love this show. 4. Scrubs - I just found this show and started watching it. Genius!!! 5. Dexter - I do not have Showtime, but I watched the first 3 episodes of this new show and love it. Now I want S…

We Are Marshall Rated PG Runtime: 2 hrs 7 mins Rotton Tomatoes: 5.7 out of 10 Average Critic Ratings: C Empy's Rating: B- Brief Description: A true story, based on devastating events, set in Huntington, West Virginia, about a small town steeped in the rich tradition of college football. For decades, players, coaches, fans and families have come together to cheer on Marshall University's "Thundering Herd." For this team and this community, Marshall football is more than just a sport, it's a way of life. But on a fateful night in 1970, while traveling back to Huntington after a game in North Carolina, 75 members of Marshall's football team and coaching sta…

Leonardo DiCaprio, The Departed - He is a shew in, especially since he is getting such great looks for Blood Diamond. Will Smith, Pursuit of Happyness - It isn't out yet, but damn it, Will Smith should get an oscar. Will Ferrell, Stranger than Fiction - Yes, he did a damn good job. However I really think he will be looking in the window when the five are announced. Aaron Eckhart, Thank You for Smoking - I have heard only good stuff about this performance... and it was an early movie. Forest Whitaker, The Last King of Scotland - I haven't even heard of this film and people have Whitaker projected as a favorite to win.... I need to check this out. …

Yeah, I admit I have not seen all these movies yet, but once I talk Yveva into it, I will have a better list for you. But from all the Oscar buzz and critics, here is what I think will be nominated for best picture. The Departed - Duh, I said this was best picture material when I saw it the FIRST time in the theatre. The Good Shepherd - I am very excited about this upcoming film. Letters from Iwo Jima - Clint Eastwood, you make movie gold. The Japanese companion to Flags of our Fathers. The Queen - Looks boring... perfect for an oscar nod. Little Miss Sunshine - I have heard only good things about this movie. Here are my close but not quite Os…

I mean, there are already 3 books and if the author wants to sell his 4th book, he should think about changing the campy title. Variety reports that Steve Alten's prehistoric shark story Meg may finally move forward in 2007. Like many would-be tentpoles, the movie fell victim to escalating costs as well as New Line's focus on other pricey pics, says the trade about the delays. New Line picked up the rights last year and put the film on the fast track for a 2006 release. At the time, it was hoping to make Meg for $75 million, with a significant chunk financed by selling off foreign distribution rights. But when the estimated budget came in much higher -- some p…

Yep, because TV execs are fresh out of ideas for the TV, they are taking movies and making them into TV series. ABC has announced they are greenlighting Mr and Mrs Smith for the 2007 schedule and billing it as "Married with Children... with guns." Ummm, yeah... sounds like a winner. Actually this can be cute if they go towards the True Lies route.

So it should go without saying that if you are behind on a series this year and you think someone might have died in it, then this post might contain spoilers. Read at your own peril.

I thought they already had a Street Fighter with Van Damme? How could they top that gem of a movie??? Japanese video game publisher Capcom, which has licensed its original franchise "Resident Evil" to Impact Pictures and Sony Pictures, recently stepped into the movie production game with an original "Street Fighter" movie due in 2008. It is partnering with Hyde Park Entertainment on a new film that focuses on Chung Li, one of the most popular fighters from the game franchise. The Hollywood Reporter says the company, after decades of creating such original game franchises as "Devil May Cry," "Lost Planet," "Dead Rising" and "Onimusha" (which has a film in develop…

Yep, he will have his own show on Fox again. It is also good to see the show being produced by Minear. I admit, I am not terribly excited about the plot though... but it is Nathan Fillion. Nathan Fillion will play the lead on Fox's midseason drama series "Drive," says The Hollywood Reporter. The show, from 20th Century Fox TV and executive producers Tim Minear, Ben Queen and Greg Yaitanes, chronicles an underground race across America. Fillion will play Alex Tully, a charming, rogue landscaper who is coerced into joining the race to search for his wife who had been abducted. In the original pilot, the role was played by Ivan Sergei.

Ok, I think it's time everyone share their "I'd totally do them" list. Who's your babe/dude with the power of voodoo? They can be musicians, actors, models, whatever...just someone from pop/other culture who has captured your eyes...or your hormones. And spouses/significant others don't count. *glares at Empy and Yv* Here's my top 5: 1. Debbie Gibson -- my first love *sighs*...I still own all of her old tapes 2. Gillian Anderson -- but only as Dana Scully...love the intellectual skepticism 3. Angelina Jolie -- mmmm...those lips! Really, it's just about the lips. 4. Kate Winslet -- cuz she's a real woman and doesn't pretend to be anything else. 5. Zach Braf…

I admit, I am a little intrigued... Taken from E Online... What if Alias' Sydney Bristow had superhuman hearing and mechanically enhanced limbs? And what if she didn't fight evil geniuses, but instead spent her multi-outfitted days as a high-powered ad exec or head of a Fortune 500 company? Picture all that and you just might have the contemporary reworking of the 1970s sci-fi-action series The Bionic Woman that Battlestar Galactica executive producer David Eick and Alexander scribe Laeta Kalogridis are developing for NBC Universal Television Studio. Prompted by the critical and ratings success of Battlestar Galactica, which airs on the Sci Fi Network, Eick…

I admit, HBO has good shows. Here is a look at what is in the works. HBO is developing a one-hour series based on the popular 1990s Vertigo comics series, Preacher, says The Hollywood Reporter. Mark Steven Johnson (upcoming Ghost Rider, Daredevil) is writing the pilot, while Howard Deutch is attached to direct. Johnson and Deutch will executive produce along with Michael De Luca, George Agusto, Chris Bender and JC Spink. Preacher, which ran from 1995-2000, told the story of a down-and-out Texas preacher possessed by Genesis, a supernatural entity conceived by the unnatural coupling of an angel and a demon. Given immense powers, the preacher teamed with an old…

Just FYI.. looks like I am staying up late on Wed now... ABC is moving "Lost" out of the way of the "American Idol" juggernaut, reports Variety. ABC's January schedule, set to be unveiled later today, has "Lost" moving to Wednesdays at 10 when it returns Feb. 7. The shift ensures the third-year series won't have to battle the Fox behemoth.

Many of our regular shows go off the air and we are Lost (heh, heh) and wondering what to watch. Here are some options... Dirt (FX Tuesdays 10pm) - Courtney Cox plays a magazine editor which uses paparazzi to fill it's pages. Think Nip/Tuck with chicks...and...errr...as a magazine editor and not a doctor....right. The Dresden Files (Sci-Fi Sundays 9pm) - I love the books and can't wait for the series.. if they don't mess it all up that is. Think Harry Potter as an adult with a sense of humor and living in Chicago.... mmmmmm... I can't get out of my chair right now.... Identity - Penn Gillette as a gameshow host... basically you try and pick a person out of …
