I am so amazed but my inlaws are sending us the Cali for Christmas and for his grandma's 80th bday. We are driving down tomorrow and will be back on the 5th. Anyone who is sending me cards, my mail will be checked as my brother is staying there while I am gone. I will be taking the laptop with so I will be able to check the net maybe more than at home and my headphones of course just in case. Well...hey there people, These past few days, I've had this thought buzzing around in my head to create a minor Taraboner nobleman entering the service of the Emperor- as far as I understood, the Seanchan empire has a male on the illuminated, sacred Crystal Throne in this RP-board, no? -, may he live forever. I hope I won't blunder too badly when it comes to his exposition that makes the prospect of doing this the most "favorable" option to him. However, before I proceed to put it down on paper only to realize that it's so much non-sense, I had a few questions: 1. I've read this thread so that I more or less have the outline of events right...what I wanted to ask,…

  3. Jagen rubbed her forehead as she crossed the grounds of the White Tower, approaching the main set of doors. Few people were about this early in the morning and she was grateful for both the quietness and the chill in the air as dawn came. For several months she had been absent from the Tower in something of a spiritual retreat. But instead of going home to Tarabon like she usually did, Jagen had gone to Shienar, her first time in the Borderland country. Taking the time to remind herself exactly what it meant to be Aes Sedai, Jagen wondered if she had found any of her answers at all. And not even being Aes Sedai, but a Red. When she first came to the Tower so long ag…

Celestine readjusted her pack on her shoulder as she side-stepped on the wide street to get out of a horse's way. It was crowded and she had to look around everywhere to make sure she wasn't going to trip over someone, or someone over her. She almost regretted her decision to not wear her shawl out today but her goal, for now, had been met. She had come to Caemlyn after visiting her hometown of Yvel to the east. A good size of the population there was deaf, like her, most of them being related in some way or another. She had stopped by to visit family, only to learn her parents had died. Having no brothers or sisters growing up, she did not have any nephews or nieces to v…

Perivar worked the forms, sword in his right hand and singuata in his left. He had been at it for hours. Working through every maneuver he knew. One of the benefits of the bond was increased endurance. He could continue fighting or training long after others would have crumbled from exhaustion. He figured he would put that little benefit to good use. Loraine Sedai was having the children tutored and Kabria had no need of him for the moment so he took advantage of the free time. He could feel Kabria, more than that he could turn and point right to her. By the direction he suspected that she was at the inn with Loraine Sedai. This close to her he could tell her…

So, the Campfire RP died down, and no clue what is going on the the BT RP, so time for us to postify again! However, I currently have no ideas on what we could do that would include everyone (and currently isnt waiting approval). So, any ideas? I just don't want Shaylor to get any dust on her.

  7. Started by Sangreal,

Sandre arrived at dusk. His rage of having been manipulated into coming here was balancing with his impression of the city he entered. He saw chains to block the river. Towns to guard the bridges. Guardsmen patrolling. More impressive was how clean the area was. He had been all over world with his father's political dealings and never had he seen a city so clean. He hated Serenla Sedai who had tricked him as a child to come and serve here as an adult. However as far as cities go he decided there could be worse. The community seemed close knit. Shop owners would come out and gather to talk. They would Barter among themselves. While that rage wanted him to believe that Dark…

Irian walked through the Yards, trying to calm himself by heading to a grove he had spotted earlier. He needed to clear his mind somewhat, and being arund nature generally helped calm his mind. So Aeryn could channel... It still felt almost surreal, his Lady, no, his best friend becoming an Aes Sedai. He still wondered how she managed not to erupt five minutes into the conversation, but he had a feeling he'd be able to hear her taking the head off of some unfortunate person regardless of where in Tar Valon he was. The fact was, he needed a job. Sure, he could leech off of the money Aeryn's parents sent her, and she'd end up buying him things regardless of what he'd t…

Dejected, Davian left the White Tower through the massive front doors. It had only been an outside chance really, that the Aes Sedai would grant his request to restore the merchant's store. It had been his own fault and the Aes Sedai had ruled that it was up to him to fix i...or maybe it was that their power didn't extend as far as rumor had told. Whatever the case he had been hoping to be able to help the merchant out, if only for having taken care of him for so many years, but it looked like that was no longer to be. He couldn't return either because the merchant had kicked him out. Pondering on his circumstances Davian wandered...He could open his own shop...after all,…

  10. ~ Granted, you only have two legs, but that doesn't mean you can't use them, black cub ~ Lorelai grumbled. Seth and herself were close to the stedding and it was a half day's walk away. But sadly Lorelai woke up with a cramp in her left leg which seemed to have made it a whole day's walk. It seemed the cold night did not agree with her. Seth was very polite and proper, walking in her pace. Yet Nightfall was less understanding. Unsurprisingly, at that. ~ What's the hurry? You got someone waiting for you, Nightfall? You naughty beast, you ~ Nightfall growled and gave Lorelai a long sharp glare. Lorelai avoided her eyes. Holding her stare would have required c…

Cari wasn't completely aware of what was going on as the strange man carried her to the infirmary, or rather that's where she assumed she was going either that or the brig, but either way she hadn't accomplished what she had intended and now she was going to have to deal with both consequences, a healing and her death afterward. Only in Tar Valon would justice be more profound than letting the murderer die by her own hands, only in the yards would this actually have happened. Justice was not her own death but a trial to convict her of it. As he ran through the halls of the Tower Cari thought she caught of glimpse of Raeyn. Her former Aes Sedai, a friend but she …

Heat flooded him. Gripped by the hair, it was all Simmen could do not to try to free himself of the black coated man's hand. He doubted that he would have succeeded though, even had he tried: The man's grip was iron, and he doubted that Tmas ever had as tight a... No, no time for that, came the thought, somewhere, small, but it succeeded in suppressing the rising memories. You're committed now, Horned Ones devour you! He could not ignore the rising heat, though. As it grew, he started to grit his teeth and moan, to feebly thrash around. Still, the- Asha'man? -had him by the hair, and he was forced to look straight ahead, at...something. When he had moved throug…

Deanne fled from the Mistress of Novice's study in tears, clutching her braids to her chest. In all her short life she had never been humiliated as much as she had been since she joined the White Tower. She flinched whenever she had to go past anyone, whether they were a servant, an Aes Sedai or an Accepted. She dared not stop, not even to curtsy when she should have, but simply fled as fast as she could through the long corridors towards her dorm room she shared with Esther and Kiyisalle, longing to shut herself away from the prying eyes and the embarrassment. Never before had she had to face a personal humiliation and deprivation such as this. The journey to her r…

Heya lovelies! As you might have seen around the boards by now, the Dragonmount staff is currently conducting a survey of Dragonmount members at large. If you are interested in taking it, you can take it here: Survey Time! Please note that you can only take it -once-, so don't like.. goof around and think you'll get a second chance, 'cause you won't. Also, I recommend taking full advantage of the text boxes to expound on anything you think needs to be said. <3!

  19. Started by Dazar,

Tai had left him a while ago but Dazar kept trying anyway. -If I can just make the water ripple I will be happy. Dazar sat by the pool, riding the frozen molten flows of Saidin. Try as he might he couldn't get the flows of water to do what he wanted. Finally Dazar collapsed in exhaustion. "How does Tai make it look so easy?" Dazar panted to himself. Shaking his head he got to his feet. He was surprised to notice he had a hard time staying on them at first. With another shake of his head Dazar gathered up his things and headed for the inn. -I could definitely use a drink, it's been a while since I've sat down and actually enjoyed some spiced wine. …

  20. Started by Covai Seriba,

Covai twirled one of the black stones between his fingers as he stared at the board. It was a little weird playing a game by himself, but it did give him time to think and focus on his own weaknesses. Admittedly, he usually didn't see his errors for a few more moves, but that just made them all the more clear to him. Clicking the stone down near the corner, Covai leaned back in his seat as his eyes gazed the board. Everything was spread out much thinner than usual, so it was a different pace for him. He tended to focus on one or two areas of the board at a time, so now he was trying to control the entire board at once. It was causing some unexpected problems, but it…

Davian stood at the edge of one of the reflection pools...ironically enough reflecting on things. To anyone else, he was training on balance. The edge around it was very thin and he had already fallen into the pool a couple of times, but mostly he was thinking on things. Life with the Warders really hadn't been going anything like planned. Well...to be honest, this wasn't exactly a plan anyways. When he pictured warders though, he had always thought that you got taught to fight in a couple of days, then you just went at it, none of this forms classes and fitness classes and you're going to class because I say to classes. Well, maybe this was the creator's way of puni…

Two things- 1. If anyone needs the survival classes let me know. I enjoy teaching either one. For that matter let me know if there are any classes you need. 2. I am not proposing changing any of the reqs *makes that perfectly clear* but I have been thinking about adding some more choices and options for everyone. A lot of older members are making new characters and I would like there to be some more RP options for them to choose from. In the end the staff will make the final decision but I would like to hear any opinions or class ideas you all have.

Tai pulled his head from the cold spring and spluttered a bit before weaving Air to clear the liquid from his eyes. Despite the cold he was stripped the waist, black velvet coat hung on a branch nearby. Three stone dummies stood silently in a loose circle, chipped and missing chunks in some places. Pulling his blade from the earth where he had left it he wove Water, lifting a fountain of flowing water to his lips to drink. Shaking his head vigorously he returned to the center of the practice stones. ~He may be your brother, but he will kill you for sure. End his life and spare him from the Shadow. Never trust, trust is death!~ Savagely Tai forced the voice to the bac…

  26. Started by Covai Seriba,

Covai's arm quivered from the aftermath of his last attach. For the last week he had been focusing everything he could about himself into hairwidth sharpness. He had been the one to make the decisions at Sheinar, he had been responsible for the men who had lost their lives, and the Shadow would have to destroy him before he allowed it to happen again. Breathing heavily as he spread his feet, Covai focused a chain of air before whipping it around him, tweaking it the moment before it's release so it spread outwards, parting the dust cloud still lingering in the air. The effect reminded him of an open palm slapping water, with each link of the chain exploding against t…

Smiling she was glad she had caugth the reference to a lunchmeeting between the bat and another sister, with no tasks on hand she had every intention to get out of the tower for what seemed to be the first day of spring. 30. Started by Jagen Sedai,

Celestine sunk a bit lower into the water of the warm bath she was taking, the last she would take in the Accepted's Quarters. She was still shaking from her experience only a few hours before--how long had the test lasted? It had felt like a lifetime. When Celestine was called forth to test for Aes Sedai she thought she had misinterpreted how she was reading the Sister's lips. And then she had thought it was a poor joke, but Aes Sedai did not play jokes. Her heart nearly jumped out of her test and all at once everything she had gone through came to her mind. She recalled her life as a child in Yvel, expecting to grow up, marry and have kids, and perhaps take care of…
