Pankhuri rolled over in her bed. She cracked open an eye to see if there was still some time to sleep. The sky wasn't dark any more but maybe, just maybe she could get few more minutes of sleep. The bell rand signalling a new day. Well, she thought, I should know better than to think that I could get as much sleep as I want. Light knows how much she had come to hate the White Tower in the week she had been here. Why did she ever wish to become a novice? Life was so different here from the life back at her home in her village. She could at least get some sleep. Strange how she had never thought so much of sleep before coming to White Tower. Now sleep sounded better than an…

Kyle Kirnan walked the streets of Amador. He had arrived at the Fortress of the Light and had been spending his time as a recruit training and learning the ways of the Children of the Light. At the Fortress all of his needs were met, but he was beginning to feel a little cooped up, so he requested leave for a night to explore Amador. He had been doing well learning his letters, so Roudal had put in a good word for him, and his request had been approved. Kyle had traveled a lot of places throughout his childhood, but he had never ventured as far west as Amador. He had never even heard of the Children of the Light until he met the recruiters in Caemlyn. Even though …

Amena threw the last in a series of reports into the blazing fire, cursing fluidly and barely stopping herself from doing damage to a shelf nearby. The crash would bring too much attention, after all, and she focused her attention on turning that flaming piece of parchment into a pile of ash. The fire danced and crackled, the pop of the pine burning in the grate the only sound in the room for a few moments as she calmed herself. When the missive was gone, she turned away from the fire and pulled open the door to her outer office. A newly raised sister was passing her door and Amena barked an order at her to ask Kathleen, Loraine and Ay'Lira to her office. "It's urgent!" s…

I have a Greenie who needs a Warder. Here's her bio. I haven't updated it since I sent in her bio, but this should give you a good idea for her personality and basic background. She's a survivor of the fall of Malkier, and 66 at this point. Her requirements for a Warder: a partner in her fight against the Shadow. Right now, she's on a mission to Whitebridge, and I think she would have a Warder by that point... >.>

Hello Warders! My recently raised Blue is interested in learning some swordplay. Would any Warders be willing to work with her at all (Am I allowed to do this?).

Hallia never expected the time for her testing to come on the bright morning of a free day. It was supposed to be a carefree day with her former room mate Kira, who had been raised to Accepted only a couple of weeks earlier. She had just stepped out of her room right ahead of Kira when she nearly collided with the Mistress of Novices. Valeri Sedai arched an eyebrow at her and spoke before Hallia could make any sort of apology. “It is time for your testing.” Hallia's eyes widened briefly, but when the Aes Sedai turned to make her way down the hallway Hallia was following behind. Glancing back she grinned nervously in response to Kira's encouraging smile before turning a co…

Laure hadn't bothered to count days since she had left home. She wasn't even sure where she was going, what she was looking for, or why she had decided to leave at this point. It was something about her father not being able to help with her problem...wasn't it? She was reminded of this problem every day in different ways. She spotted her golden eyes in the reflection of puddles, streams, lakes, whatever she passed. She was reminded when she had a violent dream that made her feel like a wild dog. She was reminded when the few people she did pass would act as if she wanted to harm them. She was reminded when garbled images, feelings, or sensations would spring up in…

Kira sat in Rasheta Sedai's study. Kira wasn't sure why the Aes Sedai had offered to teach her a lesson, but Kira couldn't turn down the offer. Rasheta offered her a cup of tea, which Kira gratefully accepted, although it had remained untouched. She was extremely nervous as Rasheta showed her the weave that she was going to learn today. It looked pretty complex for her level and Kira wasn't sure if she could do it. “Excuse me, Rasheta Sedai, could you show me that weave one more time?” Kira asked respectfully. Rasheta smiled and repeated the weave. Kira waited until Rasheta told her that it was ok for her to embrace the source before doing so. Kira thought …

I know I'm long winded, so if you don't feel like reading it all, just read the bold stuff..it should give you all the info you really need to understand what this thread is about :D I've given this some thought lately and have begun discussions with our AGL. We both seem to be on the same page with this, so I thought I would move the conversation here. I would like to offer the option to have those members of the Warder's Group whose character is bonded (IC) to an AS in the White Tower be added to that Ajah's private board. I believe this would be beneficial in keeping the bonded characters in the loop when planning ajah rps, so that plans don't get lost in …

Its seems everyone else got the memo, but we were skipped. Lets go show them that the White Tower does not take well to such political moves. We go where we want, when we want; invite or no! This is the message being received by others, please do join in -- it is your chance to share your thoughts about the people and groups that make our site the wonder it is. Edit - Here is a link to the Empy Board - NOMINATIONS ARE OPEN UNTIL THE 29TH. If we don't have nominations we can't win..so please go out and put in your nominations! Threads and Staff Members of the Group which are available to be nominated this year are listed in later posts in this thread.

Are the OP scores actively updated and how does it figure into our RPs? I guess I am just wondering how and when it is used. For instance, how do I calculate my current strength after first touching the source. Since I know my max potential is not my current potential where do I find this information and is the information current?

Kathleen rose from bed long before the sun began to think of rising. Outfitting herself quite practically, just short of rushing, she hurried through the halls of the tower to the kitchens where she made herself a quick breakfast. There weren't many up, but she did take note of those she saw in the halls at such an odd hour. She was out in the stables having two horses prepared to ride when the Initiate joined her. "So good of you to join me. I do apologize for the hour, but one never knows when the attack will come, after all, so one must be ready to rise in a blink." Still, it was probably a little rude to have only left a note telling the woman to attend her in the st…

Come February sixteenth I will be shipping to Basic Training for the U.S. Army, if I manage to pass my P.T. I'm not sure how long the training lasts but I think it's either six or nine weeks. Besides that, may be losing my internet before or after the third of February. Wish me luck with my training, I'll edit this post when I get a definite number of weeks for Basic.

As Kastyana followed the newly met Accepted Penelia, she couldn’t help but feel intimidated by the young woman. She didn’t appear to be much older than her but the air of composure she exhibited was a bit overwhelming. She chose not to speak. What would I talk about? She only followed, quiet but observant as she was led down one winding corridor to the next. You could fit one of my mother’s wagons down these halls. It feels more like a covered city street than a hallway. She continued to follow as Penelia broke the silence every now and then to comment on a specific feature. “This hall will lead you to the kitchens. Most novices spend quite a bit of time in th…

The sound of poping erupted beside her ear as Ellisha began her fifteenth weave. The girl was going to have to do better than that, a part of her thought as the rest concentrated on forming the complex - yet completely useless weave of the One Power. Threads of air, weave of fire. She settled the different elements in just the right order, neither rushing, nor being slow about their formation. She let out a loud squeal as something pinched her bottom - hard, releasing the half formed weave, along with Saidar as she jumped a few feet into the air. A wave of icy chills rushed over her as the weave collapsed in on itself and drenched her in its unpleasant after-effects. …

Hey, There hasn't been too much to do around here recently. Anyone interested in getting something going? I think the band is technically on the march from Tanchico back to the citadel? Is that right Quibby? Anyways...I have a freebooter who is the owner of a traveling menagerie. They could run into the menagerie on their trip back and we could have an RP about the eventful evening. (Also if anyone needs an intro RP to get them into the band or basic training or sparring RP let me know)

I believe I sent everyone a PM that has been around recently but this is open for anyone that wants to join in. http://www.dragonmount.com/forums/topic/83482-the-blade-or-the-leaf-attn-bard-babe-banders-tinkers-open/ The basic plan: (credit to Barb Babe :-) ) Stage one The Band is marching back from Tanchico and along the way they run into a camp of Tinkers. They spend the evening talking and sharing stories with the Tinkers and making friends. Stage two Some roaming bandits in the area have heard that the tinkers have made camp and come to attack them. They are caught by surprise by the presence of the BoTRH and a fight ensues. Stage three The tink…

Arinth stood with his arms crossed and his face expressionless as he watched the privates and recruits stagger into the morning training session. They looked miserable, each and every one of them. And that made him happy because he was miserable too. Nobody should have to stumble out of their tent this early in the morning. Some just stood fighting the drowsiness of sleep while others nursed hangovers. The training was a mix of the different divisions. Infantry, Cavalry, Scouts, etc. He recognized a few of the infantry men but there were lots of strangers too. The band had grown large over the years. He noticed the recent cavalry recruit Malachias and his purple arm b…

The menagerie was in Cairhien. Viktor couldn't have hid his smile if he had wanted to. Things were going well. They were going well in every possible way. The menagerie was thriving. Customers came by the droves. He had almost more coin than he knew what do with. It paled in comparison to what really had him smiling. Tensleigh. The lion tamer shared his love. He couldn't have created a more perfect woman for him if he had wanted to. Sure, they had rough times and fights too but who didn't? With a hot blooded woman like that there were bound to be fights. The more heated they were though the more enjoyable the making up was. Sometimes he wondered if she started fights …

Aril and Ellisha ducked furtively through the white marbled corridors. Their foot steps almost inaudible in the dim shadows of midnight. A sound came from somewhere up ahead and the two women came to an abrupt halt - ducking behind a corner and holding in their collective breathes as they waited for the person to pass. A white clad girl walked amiably past the pair, her garb that of a Novice, and her manner - suggesting she was on some kind of an errand. Probably for an Aes Sedai. Novices and Accepted were not allowed to stay past their curfew, and strict punishments were issued by the Mistress of Novices to any initates caught breaking the rule without a good reason of b…
