Do we have a policy concerning additional characters. If we do I can't seem to find it. So are we allowed to have more than one? If so, what rank would they start out with?

Hey there, kiddies. Guess who's back? ;) And in the spirit of catching up, I will start with the first order of business. Sign ups for a Role Play dedicated to DM's 10th birthday! Yep, that's a loooooooooooong time, people. And this RP would be our tribute to a place some of us (or all, wouldn't want to generlize :P) call a second home ^_^ This RP is an inter-div RP. Each division is allowed to have 4 members participate in this RP. It might seem unfair, but if you think about it, it makes it so this RP can be ran smoothly. Too many people means both chaos and a dragging RP that would never end if it contains too many participants. As it were, anyone that is in…

Melianna was super excited! She got to spend a day with ter'angreal. Mind you there was going to be a novice and a Brown whose name escaped her at this moment, but it was a whole day with her favorite things! She had hardly slept the night before. She "woke up" far before first bell. She busied herself with combing her hair with 700 strokes, washing her face 9 times, and then braiding her hair once. Not her favored Arafellan braids, no. She decided to try the Taraboner style and put in a thousand braids. She was first to the dining hall for breakfast and was nearly done before any 3 people had taken their first bite of roll. She made a quick stop in the library for …

Kynwric had been spending a lot of time recently either training trainees, or the newly raised group of Tower Guards that he had taken a liking to, or out on a patrol or mission he had taken little notice of how his own skills had been broadening. However, someone, somewhere had been paying attention for he had received a letter asking him to present himself, armed and prepared, to a council at dawn three days hence. It had not been signed or identifiable in any way he could tell, and as such he had set it aside until now. Picking it back up he re-read the note and tried to set it aside and put it out of his mind again, but he couldn't. His curiosity was piqued and so he …

OOC: Mama, Mama I’m coming home :D Sorry, needed a little Ozzy reference in here. It was early morning, the sun not yet breaking over the horizon and the streets of Tar Valon were virtually empty, with the exception of a few merchants readying their wares for the day’s market. This suited her just fine. It had been many years since she had left the Tower and a noisy homecoming was not what she needed. Quiet. Quiet was Tae’s desire at the moment. Solitude to puzzle out the mysteries she had discovered during her journey. But before any puzzle work could be done, Tae had other responsibilities to attend. With this many years away from the Tower and no…

Jesse had nothing important to do, no training of trainees, no real push to go on wall duty, and really no need to practice another hour on his forms. There was really nothing to do for the rest of the day. Sure he could spar or practice, but it was rare that he felt the need to do something else. He had gotten himself ready, gussied up, and worn one of his better casual set of clothes he'd bought since coming to Tar Valon. Jesse combed his top knot and polished his sword and then started out of the barracks. He wanted to go browsing in Tar Valon, maybe get a meal and a drink. But he had no plans so he was going to fly free today, no schedule, no plan. Jesse wa…

Humming to herself contentedly, Deanne busied herself with her brushes and make-up, laying it out just so. She'd managed to get the scissors sharpened just on the off chance that Esther would trust her enough to cut her hair. Then she sat in front of the mirror and played with her braids, though she couldn't help a surge of sorrow at the loss of her bells. A letter was already on the way to her father explaining what had happened (playing down her own part in the matter of course) and asking ever so sweetly if her parents could see their way clear to send their beloved daughter some more. She smiled at herself in the mirror, having now learned to see past the splodg…

Thera flexed her hands on the hilt of her sword and stared back at herself in the mirror. She had waited for this day for many years, and now that it was upon her she felt the weight of the short journey on which she’d embark. In truth the day could have come years since, if she’d focused on her own training not that of her students. Then the love affair with Jasine had proven to monopolize more of her time than she could have ever imagined. But with their needing to hide at an end, and his comforting presence in her life everyday Thera had begun to focus again on improving her own skills. She’d reworked her training schedule and begun to regiment her food and redoubled h…

((For timeline sake this will be after the Inter-Div RP with the CotS)) Geirrin strapped on his sword belt as he looked around the barracks. Nothing there held the answers for what he would face today. All he was told is that he was to duel an Asha'man with the one power. That was all he knew. He had no idea who he was to face off against just that is was an Asha'man. The sword at his side was purely ornamental at this point though they were required to wear it all times. This is the day where it would be decided if he were worthy of being an Asha'man. Butterflies the size swans seemed to be fluttering around his stomach. Geirrin left the barracks walking…

Sarena looked up in awe of her surroundings, the White Tower was just as magnificent the first time she laid eyes on it. Riding up to the courtyard she remembered how nervous she was walking up those sweeping steps into the entrance hall. While she was studying she had recieved word that her sister Jillien had sadly died after entering her first duel. Sarena had gone to see the Mistress of Novices to ask if she could return to Ebou Dar to be with her family. With the leave approved Sarena rode as fast as Cha could carry her. Apparently there was nothing anyone could do, the girl she fought was more experienced and ended the duel quite quickly. Her mother had s…

The last class had gone fairly well. Why was she so nervous? Perhaps it was the fact that the girls were going to be picking at her weaves which could have disastrous effects. She could remember what happened when she did this class. Larindhra was so shocked at her ease at pulling on the earth thread that it had snapped away and coated the class in a fine film of sand. Ever since that day, that Green kept pestering her about Earth Singing. How much proof did she need that she could not do whatever it was that she expected her to. Her class arrived and took their seats and all was well. She took a deep breath and began. "Hello again, girls. Today, we will be learning …

Jasmyne sighed as she sank into her chair. Appearantly, Larindhra was impressed with her progress since "The Incident" that she was going to entrust the teaching of controlling saidar to novices. he scratched her dark stubble as she recalled her class on control. It was a wonderful day! It was then she had discovered that if all went well, she would have more control weaving Earth than almost every Aes Sedai. This was discovered by her accidentally making the floor under the novice beside her turn into a pitfall and she ended up in the classroom below them. She had gotten strapped for that, but it was amazing. Unfortunately, that day she also discovered that her skill wit…

Blasted, horrible, vile, dirty, filthy, awful woman! Jasmyne stormed down the hall, fists balled, back arched, and possibly steam coming out of her ears. That woman had given her an assignment to teach remedial history. It would be so bad if not for two things. Firstly, it would have been better if it had been assigned by someone who did not brandish a paddle. Secondly, it would be better if it was not the student she had been assigned to, but no. It had to be Deanne. Deanne, the pouty novice who spent half her day making herself pretty, and the other half of the day looking at her handiwork in the mirror, so the rumors said. She was sure everyone nearby could hear…

A sliver of light opened into a Gateway in the lower floors of the basement of the Fortress. A man dressed in black contrasting his pale blonde, shoulder-length hair stepped through and roughly pulled another man behind him. The poor man was in fine clothes and had a merry belly that jiggled as he pleaded for mercy. A Murandian and a Darkfriend. A Darkfriend that failed horribly. Normally such cases were dealt with by immediate death, but there were other uses for this portly fool. Tigara drug him down a full flight of stairs and entered into a empty room. It was not small, but not large either. But it was solid and deep down and soundproof. There would be screaming…

Never in his life had Kaidad seen so many people in one place, people of ever creed and colour. He recognized some, a fair skinned Arafellin with two bell bound braids and the sleek green eyes and long moustache of a Saldean. Many though, he could not put a land to, the tanned man with the pointed beard wearing tighter than normal breeches over by the Cutlers workshop and the pretty woman leaving an Inn with large hoops in her ears and her skirts gathered high enough over her knee to make his ears go warm. His first day in Tar Valon had been comfortable. He had spent the last few Silvers he had at the small Inn he had found near the Daghain gate, the Thirsty Goose. It…

Kami tugged at the sleeve of his black coat with a regretful pout. He badly wanted to be back in his own silks again so the rough wool of the jacket was bothering him twice over. But he had modified it somewhat to his own tastes: the coat, usually loose on most men here, was tight on him, especially around the waist, and he wore a blue butterfly on a silver chain over the coat that marked him as a Soldier. Light, but how he wanted to be lounging in his room in Saldaea, reading poetry! At least his pants were silk, but after almost a week of being on the Farm they were starting to get rather dirty, at least around the bottom. Some people gave him odd looks. But he had…

Geirrin did not have any issues with the constant destruction that seemed to be so prevelant in their training though he wanted to try something different. He had learned so much since coming to the farm, many things that never would have been had he not come here. He had never touched a horse before coming here and now he was a passable rider. Today he decided to learn something else. Geirrin entered the smithy nodding to the Master Blacksmith who was already hard at work even though the sun was just starting to sshow itself on the horizon. The heat from the burning coals filled the cramped smithy making Geirrin remove his black coat which he unceremoniously hung…

Continued from HERE Esther knuckled the small of her back as she straightened up from scrubbing their bedroom floor, and glanced over to where her roommate enjoying a much needed nap; it would be time to wake her soon. She and Kiyi had worked out a system whereby they took turns at this, which at least gave them some respite from the arduous task. A pity they couldn’t do the same for kitchen pots and hallway floors! That was what they had been doing for the past 5 days … or was it six? The days were blurring into one endless routine of scrubbing and sweeping and turning spits. Esther was used to doing at least some hard work, but poor Kiyi … being a noblewoman …

Yet again Corwin had a class to teach. It seemed they didn't like him leaving last time so suddenly. Though Corwin doubted Eqwina let them know everything, he was sure they weren't the happiest with either, since they would only assume the Warder was following his Aes Sedai... not the Warder abandoning her because of pride on both sides. But Corwin remember this student, Melenis was in his previous class, so this one at least wouldn't require the getting-to-know-you-phase, which Corwin normally turning into a test of the student's endurance. The girl had spunk, he remembered that much, and she gave it her all, but Corwin was going to make this hand-to-hand combat …

It began as a normal enough day. Normal for the Black Tower anyway. The regular rythem of explosions sounding at the training grounds went almost unnoticed by the inhabitants of the Farm as they went about their daily business. Soldiers carrying various items around on invisible flows of air, the wives of Asha'man carrying their own loads, children running and yelling while they engaged in whatever game came to them at the moment ... the usual pace of life. The silvery rotating slash that appeared in mid air at the traveling grounds also caused little comment as it rotated open, revealing a hole in the air. What poured out though, was enough to send rumors stirri…

Using all her skill Thera slipped out of bed, trying not to disturb Jasine. As always, when she tried to slip away his eyes came open and he grinned. Strong arms laced around her waist pulling her back into bed. Groaning halfheartedly she snuggled back in and closed her eyes. She hadn’t really been ready to get up anyway. As he began to lay kisses on her neck, Thera started to forget why she’d been trying to wake; and when he pulled the covers up over their heads she giggled and proceeded to forget everything but the two of them. An hour later, sweaty and blissfully happy Thera persuaded her fiancée to let her up, begging that she had trainees to see to. Having alre…

The day had been quiet, they slept in the peace of knowing that night they would kill again. The others inside of Cari were all a frenzy, trying to take back control. Meeghan was crying alone in a corner the gore was too much for her. Marosa sat by idling trying to take back control every so often. Her blights became the strongest just as the shadow picked a victim, she wanted her own turn at some fun. Kayla and May were exhausted from trying so long. Cari's own personality sat back and waited. There was no use in fighting, the shadows control was too strong. But deep in the recesses of her own thoughts lingered the need to kill. She could feel it, could sense th…

It had been too long since Cari had to find her mark. The last one was a drawn out process and ended up with torture and teaching. Cari smiled, it was a good day that day, but Demus was gone now, and Cari had to survive still. But this mark left a clear trail, a clear trail right to the middle of Tar Valon. Cari sighed as she saw the shining walls about her. The Great Lord wanted this man dead, and so he would have it. Cari tried to block out the fact that Demus had left but it was always a lingering pain. She had no one else left to trust. *There is always Yearn* He's a bloodly light fool.*Yeah but he loves us, me anyway* Shut up! And silence echoed in Cari's mi…

Azalia would be happy to say good-bye to her new Aes Sedai acquaintance. The only topic of conversation they could seem to settle on was uncomfortable silence. She seemed like a very sweet woman and called herself a Brown Ajah, though the only brown she wore were her boots. The problem was that this Aes Sedai was only interested in, well, everything actually, but while it all went in, nothing came back out. She was quick to ask questions, and scribble up a swarm of notes, but whenever Azalia had a questions of her own, the Aes Sedai got all slippery and evasive. After a while Azalia , who could take conversation or leave it, took to just smiling and nodding while s…
